It is being said that WWE merchandising is discontinuing the "EC F'N W" t-shirt sometime in the near future. The shirt, which is the all-time best selling t-shirt in ECW company history, is said to be considered to crass. Vince McMahon himself supposedly has concerns that the slogan will turn off potential advertisers.
Paul Heyman did not wear his trademark baseball cap on last night's ECW TV show. The reason was because that hat is supposedly part of his babyface persona, while last night's look is how he works as the top heel authority figure. He did the same thing in the past working as General Manager on SmackDown.
Wrestling promoter and DVD dealer Rob Feinstein was backstage at the 6/24 ECW show at the ECW Arena. Apparently he was asked to leave by security at the show, despite his claims that he was there as an invited guest of Tommy Dreamer. That didn't seem to matter to security.
The word going around last night was that Sci Fi officials enjoyed the ECW broadcast last night, especially the main event. They were said to be really pleased with the blood and thumbtack spots in the Ric Flair-Big Show match and enjoyed the general ECW "feel" everyone talks about.
