Although Paul Heyman has not revealed his true feelings regarding losing power within the ECW brand, wrestlers say that Heyman's always in a "fake good mood" backstage.
Last week, his presence in the lockerroom was described as resembling a "whipped puppy dog" - he did not strongly react to McMahon's assuming of creative duties.
He had a larger role this week, although he still has very limited power. He's not even producing the announcing for Joey Styles and Tazz, a role most assumed would undoubtedly belong to Heyman.

Well, I can't say that there was much he could do about that. I really do think Vince needs to lay off it though. I mean, just because he's the "boss" doesn't mean he always knows best.

I reckon they just let him have control in the first place to get his ideas out in the open then change them to suit their needs
