It is the Fourth of July and it is time to see if Rob Van Dam’s luck will change for the better when he gets back into an ECW environment or will he suffer the same fate as his WWE Title run that ended in a Triple Threat match to Edge. What will the Sandman cane this week? Will we see any more members of the WWE creative staff get beaten by a member of the ECW roster? How far will Kelly get in her expose this week? Will we see any new faces in TNA? What about some old faces that might not have been in ECW since the WWECW era began.
We begin with Paul Heyman in his office. He mentions that it is true that Rob Van Dam lost the WWE title in a controversial manner. However, Rob Van Dam is the ECW champion. Rob is a champion who has endured a schedule that no other champion has faced. In the last week, he had to defend the title on three consecutive nights against Edge, John Cena, and Kurt Angle. Last night, he was in the ring with Edge and John Cena at the same time. Rob has displayed more pride, more passion, and more ambition than any other champion. Tonight, Rob Van Dam will acknowledge Rob Van Dam’s accomplishments.
Big Show enters the office and he tells Paul that if he made the jump to ECW, he would get a title match. Paul tells Show that he will get his title match. He tells Show that the priority is ECW and Rob needs Show’s support. Show says that he is not asking, but he is demanding that he get a title match. He wants the title match tonight.
We are live from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Joey ‘Jim’s Steaks’ Styles and Tazz.
Joey and Tazz talk about Big Show’s challenge and Tazz wonders if Rob Van Dam will be able to defeat Big Show if Van Dam accepts the challenge.
It is time for Kelly’s Expose and this week she is going to present a ‘Salute to America’. Kelly turns around to reveal paint on her breasts and pasties and then Mike Knox comes out to cover up Kelly.
Before the first match, Mike Knox gets on the mic but before he can say anything the crowd shows their appreciation for Mike stopping Kelly’s performance. Mike says that he hates to ruin their Independence Day celebration, but that is his girlfriend. Mike says that Kelly is his.
Match Number One:[/u] Mike Knox versus Little Guido
Guido attacks Knox before the bell with kicks to the leg to get Mike to his knees and he follows that with a drop kick. Guido goes up to the second turnbuckle but he misses the Sicilian Slice. Knox with a forearm to Guido’s back. Knox with an Irish whip into a back breaker for a two count. Knox with a forearm and Guido tries to fight back. Knox with a forearm to the back and then he slams Guido four times. Knox tries for a knee drop but Guido moves. Guido works on Knox’s leg but Knox pushes Guido down and then he hits the bicycle kick. Knox with a modified DDT for the three count.

We see footage from last night’s Raw when Rob Van Dam lost the WWE title to Edge after Edge pinned Van Dam.
Paul Heyman is in the office and Rob Van Dam wants to know if Big Show challenged him. Van Dam tells Heyman to make the match for tonight. Van Dam says that this is not going to be a place where the bigger guys get the top spots whether they earn it or not. If Show can beat Van Dam, he is the top dog. Heyman reminds Van Dam of what he has done lately and is hesitant to make the match. Van Dam says that he will go and accept the challenge from Big Show right now if Heyman does not give him the match. Heyman begs Van Dam but Van Dam says that he has it covered. We go to commercial.
We are back and Test is coming tonight.
A priest (who looks a lot like Tony Devito) comes over the ringside barrier and gets a mic. He mentions that this is the first time seeing an ECW show and he is disgusted. The sex, the violence, and the language. He cannot believe these people would spend their hard earned money to watch this filth. He says that this program is deplorable and should not be on television. This form of entertainment should not even exist. He says that everyone should be ashamed of themselves. If you enjoy ECW then you are a sinner. He calls Tazz and Styles sinners and mentions that everyone will burn in hell. He says that he is not a man of the cloth, but he wears the collar to express his opinions. He takes his spot in the front row.
Sandman comes through the crowd and he enters the ring. He stands on the ringside barrier and he surveys the crowd. He notices the fan in the crowd and he pulls him back over the ringside barrier. Sandman slaps the fan and then he gives the thumbs down before caning the fan. Sandman returns to the ring and he drinks some beer.
Big Show is in the locker room and Rob Van Dam wants to know if Show is challenging him. Show says that he is making the challenge. Van Dam says that he likes it and then he slaps Show before accepting. We go to commercial.
We are back and Rob Van Dam is walking in the back. Paul Heyman stops him and wants to know where Rob’s head is at. Rob says that ECW is his way around this crap to show that he is the best. He says that he is doing a pretty good job. He is on top of the world. He is here because ‘we’ stuck by our guns and ‘we’ are ECW. To be the ECW champion, he has to beat Big Show. Heyman says that he is proud to have Rob as the champion.
Match Number Two:[/u] Test versus Al Snow (with Head)
Test attacks Snow before the bell rings and backs him into the corner. Test with punches and kicks to Snow and the referee has to pull Test away from Snow. Test with a running clothesline into the corner. Test charges into an elbow by Snow and then Snow punches Test but the blows appear to have no effect on Test. Test with a big boot followed by a TKO for the three count.
Winner:[/u] Test
After the match, Test takes Head and kicks it into the crowd.
We go to a video package for Sabu where Sabu mentions that he is suicidal, homicidal, and genocidal. We go to commercial.
We are back and the vampire is still outside the arena and he spits blood at the camera.
We go to the back where we see CM Punk’s tattooed arm. He says not to let the tattoos fool you because he is straight edge. He is a man of great discipline. He does not drink, smoke, or do drugs. His addiction is wrestling. His obsession is competition and discipline.

Big Show versus Rob Van Dam (ch)
Van Dam avoids Show and then he kicks him in the leg. Van Dam comes off the ropes but he runs into a clothesline from Show. Show with a head butt that sends Van Dam out of the ring. Show goes out after Van Dam. Show tries to run Van Dam into the ring post but Van Dam gets out of the hold and Show goes into the ring post. Van Dam goes onto the ringside barrier, but Show trips him and Van Dam is crotched. Show sends Van Dam into the crowd with a forearm. Show punches and chops Van Dam in the front row. Van Dam tries to fight back but Show with a head butt to regain the advantage. When Show tries to get over the ringside barrier, Van Dam with a kick to Show followed by a guillotine leg drop on the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.
We are back and the action returns to the ring. Show stands over Van Dam. We see Show hot shoting Van Dam on the ringside barrier. Van Dam staggers Show with a springboard side kick and then he goes up top but Show with a head butt to crotch Van Dam. Show with a superplex to Van Dam and both men are down. Show covers but he only gets a two count. Show with a step over leg drop for a two count. Show slams Van Dam followed by an elbow drop for a two count. Show with a bear hug to Van Dam followed by a back breaker and he works on Van Dam’s back. Van Dam with knees to Show to get out of the hold. Van Dam with a drop kick to Show’s knee and it takes Show down to the mat. Show grabs Van Dam for a choke slam but Van Dam counters with a DDT and both men are down again.
Van Dam with a running cross body followed by Rolling Thunder but he can only get a two count and Show with an emphatic kick out. Van Dam with a running spin kick into the corner and then he goes up top but Show catches Van Dam and he throws Van Dam over the top rope to the floor. Show goes out after Van Dam and he picks up the ring steps but Van Dam with a drop kick to Show’s knees and Show hits the ring steps. Van Dam comes off the top turnbuckle to the floor but Van Dam catches Show and runs Show into the ring apron. Show tries to pull Van Dam into the ring but Van Dam drops Show on the top rope. Van Dam gets a chair and Show knocks it away.
Show with a choke slam but he can only get a two count. Show tosses the referee out of the ring. Show gets Van Dam set up for a power bomb but Van Dam grabs the chair and hits Show in the head with the chair. Van Dam hits the Van Daminator and then he goes up top for the Five Star Frog Splash but there is no referee. Paul Heyman comes out and he makes the two count but he stops before three. Van Dam wants to know what Heyman is doing. Heyman leaves the ring and Van Dam does not see Show get up and he drills Van Dam with a chair shot to the head. Heyman tells Show to choke slam Van Dam on the chair and Heyman makes the three count.

After the match, while Show and Heyman celebrate in the ring, the fans pelt the ring with garbage and we go to credits.
