For those wondering, Tommy Dreamer has no creative control in the new ECW. Dreamer was heavily involved in putting together the first successful ECW One Night Stand PPV, however then slowly started to loose creative power. At the moment Paul Heyman is writing the show with assistance from Dave Lagana, however Vince McMahon is making sure they are scripting it how he would want it.
It was said that Tommy Dreamer was very angry with the overall debut of ECW on Sci Fi backstage after the show was taped.

I think Dreamer should have more power. I think he would do a great job with everything.

It definitely should be Dreamer and Heyman.
Hmm, wonder what Dreamer was most upset at. Having to have a match between Sandman and some Zombie for one, lol. They better cut that stuff out before it gets out of hand.

Yeah, but of course somebody will always come in and thing that they can do the better job. Which in fact is not true. To leave it up to Heyman and Dreamer would be ideal, but you know McMahon will always want to be the big dog no matter what.
