There has been talk lately about removing Tazz from the SmackDown! brand and placing him in the ECW brand to do color commentary with Joey Styles. Another idea that has been thrown into the mix is for him to leave announcing all together and play a "badass MMA trainer" on television. Basically what he would do is, he would endorse a new wrestler or group of wrestlers with a shootfighter aura that could be the net generation stars of ECW. There is also talk of him doing commentary and play the role of a MMA trainer at the same time. These right now are only ideas and nothing is confirmed at the moment.
John Carelli as of right now is the next candidate to do the next generation shootfighter gimmick. John Carelli is currently doing a gimmick as Boris Alexiev in the OVW. Although, Carelli is not under WWE contract at the moment, and there is no movement to sign him. Paul Heyman seems to be the only person who sees something in him.

I think its a good idea for Tazz to be on the ECW program due to his history IMO is a much better history with ECW. But wether its commentator or trainer he would be in a better position in ECW than if he stays in WWE because IMO alot of the old school ECW fans would be more apt to tune in because Tazz was a pretty popular character and his addition to the ECW roster would be a definite plus.

Tazz needs about 6 months of training to get back into ring shape. He has been out for too long to come back strong. In 6 months, I could see Tazz as THE heel in ECW. Maybe trying to convert ECW to Smackdown.

Taz will never wrestler full time again. Debilitating neck injury. I like that shoot fighting trainer gimmick though. He could pull that off well.
