Dave Meltzer is reporting former TNA Knockout Women's Champion Awesome Kong has quit TNA Wrestling. Kong got in a physical altercation with Bubba The Love Sponge at Monday's TNA Impact taping over a Twitter post Bubba made over the weekend. Kong was sent home on Monday and has now left the company.

I know she wants to leave due to butting heads with Hulk Hogan. Hopefully they'll release her and I hope she leaves then. I never liked her and didn't think she fit in well with TNA.

yeah wwe will grab her deffo, the reason she didnt think twice about leaving was because she knew wwe will have her, they have always been keen to get her on board. But word floating around is that TNA havent granted her release, so its going to be interesting to see what happens here.

Awesome Kong just posted the following on Twitter:
I'd like to thank @tnadixie and all of the employees at TNA for wishing me the very best in my future endeavors.
Looks like TNA finally granted her release after she requested it many months ago

Nice! Success and glad to hear she is no longer in TNA! No more clogging up (or wasting time) with her and her matches! I don't see the WWE picking her up either, I don't think she fits in there.

TNA got Kong from Japan. My guess she'll just go back there to wrestle.

Word has it Awesome Kong has a lengthy non-compete agreement attached to her TNA Wrestling contract that will prevent her from working elsewhere for several months. The agreement is reportedly longer than the traditional 90-day clause included in many wrestling contracts.

You mean that she can't even go to Japan to wrestle?

Well...I look at it being a BS way to mess with someone's life to have them sit at home doing nothing during the time it takes for it to expire. They should allow her to work some where. I am glad I never had the bright idea to be a pro wrestler!!!

It looks like Awesome Kong is heading back to Ring of Honor where she gained fame wrestling as Amazing Kong. The former TNA Knockout Women's Champion wrote the following today on Twitter: I feel very happy to be joining the ROH roster!.
