- TNA Wrestling posted the following on their official website:
“Hulkamania” is back! The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, is joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA), the fastest rising wrestling organization in the world and home to one of cable television’s highest rated shows for young men, TNA iMPACT! The announcement was made today by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City.
“Hulk Hogan is one of the world’s top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family,” said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. “Our goal is to become the world’s biggest professional wrestling company. Hulk defines professional wrestling and we look forward to partnering with him in a variety of ways as we continue to grow TNA globally.”
“I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling,” said Hogan. “My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to work with Dixie to help make that a reality.”
Through Hogan’s partnership with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, the deal with TNA was negotiated by longtime Hogan colleague Eric Bischoff. Additionally, BHE TV has inked a first-look deal with TNA and will be working with the organization to develop new programming extensions of the TNA brand.
“Hulk Hogan adds yet another level of star power that positions TNA iMPACT as Spike TV’s version of ‘Must-See TV’ on Thursday nights,” said Kevin Kay, president of Spike.
Hogan most recently penned an autobiography with Mark Dagostino, “My Life Outside The Ring” with St. Martin’s Press.

Hulk Hogan is coming to TNA to run things. He's not going to be sitting on the sidelines as some nostalgic character that occasionally works TVs and PPVs like Sting or Kevin Nash. Eric Bischoff and Hogan are coming in for control of the company. Say goodbye to Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett and Ed Ferrera, say goodbye to TNA creative as we know it. Hogan and Bischoff have a vision for the company and they are not going to let Russo and his friends get in their way. Hogan will be handling the booking.
There are rumors flying are that ric flair will also be joining the brand. And that TNA will have a show on monday nights to compete with Raw

I think pushing Morgan over Hogan in a push for the title might be good. Angle vs Morgan was too David vs Goliath. TNA creative has been horrible as of late, NEARLY anything has to be an improvement. Remember when TNA was mostly wrestling with hated Jarret as champion?

I saw Hogan on Jimmy Kimmel last night talking about this. This will be a great push for TNA. Hulk Hogan in any way, shape, or form is good for TNA. Throw in Eric Bischoff's creatively, if he soon gets some writing control, could be good! You know Bischoff would probably have some wrestlers he'd like to bring in as well.
Morgan isn't working out because, he's Morgan, lol. I've never been a fan of his (or Samoa Joe). No way I could picture Hogan putting over Morgan, lol. Also, when Jarret was wrestling and the main heel, it added a lot! If he wrestlers again, could get really good!

This is huge news for not only TNA but WWE aswell. Maybe it will give the wwe the kick up the arse that it needs to start pushing the right superstars and think up of good story lines.
And i think it will ither make or break TNA

For freakin starters, WWE's attitude towards TNA needs to improve. Which means, Vince should let go the ban on fans comming in the WWE shows wearing something that has TNA on it, or a sign for that matter.
It seems like both TNA, and WWE will help each other out in ratings. Like it has already been said, if TNA does good, WWE will go good. That goes for the other way around.
Top that off with the fact that remains WWE fans watch TNA. TNA fans watch WWE. Meaning it's the same group of people watching both WWE, and TNA.
Is there really gonna be fans out there who picks WWE over TNA? or TNA over WWE? I gotta admit, I prefer to watch TNA over WWE, but I have watched both in the past.
Now I will voice my opinion on the possible Monday Night Wars comming back. IMO, I think it will be dumb. WWE is a branded company who has their wrestlers separately on RAW, ECW, or SmackDown. TNA on the other hand has everyone currently on Impact. Now if TNA gets another show, are they gonna have wrestlers separtely on Impact, and on the new show?
If they don't, wouldn't it be wise for WWE to have everyone likeable on one show? meaning it would have to be like it was before the first draft in 2002.
What people fail to realize is, during the Monday Night War. It was between Nitro, and RAW. Only those 2 existed at the beginning of it, with WCW getting their 2nd show (Thunder) shortly after, in which WWE copied WCW to have their 2nd show (SmackDown)
Plus this Monday Nigt War now (if they have it) will cause 2 things. It will cause SmackDown to have less ratings than RAW, and if TNA gets 2nd show on Monday Nights, it will cause that show to get more ratings than Impact.
I finish my voice of opinion by saying, I seriously doubt the wrestling business is ready for another war of any kind. When all the Monday Night War did (between WCW, and WWF) was kill pro wrestling what it was. It has sucked since Vince bought WCW.
Hell, I will bring up another point before I get done with this. After Linda resigned as CEO, and Shane resigned from WWE to move on. What purpose would Vince, and Stephanie have to want to continue running things for WWE? For a long time WWE has been the McMahon family business. Now with 2 of them out of the picture, that is just fading away. Maybe down the road Vince will sell WWE who the hell knows? and what purpose would another Monday Night War have then?

Good points. If Vince sells the WWE at some point, it could disappear fast. Look when Ted Turner sold WCW along with everything else, new owners didn't give a crap about wrestling. The next few months could be very important in both companies future, whether for good or bad. I personally like Morgan and think he is the total package. TNA need story lines that are interesting and make sense.

My personal opinion about Hogan and Bischoff joining TNA. Yeah, it's good they both are back in the pro wrestling spot light, but both of them in TNA probably has made people think that it will be like what happened with WCW all over again. TNA has to be careful not to repeat WCW's mistakes by bringing in big names they might want. A war with WWE should be the least on their minds. I can see if TNA would like another show, but they shouldn't have it on Monday or Friday. Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday would be good enough. I believe in TNA being the top wrestling company without them going head to head with WWE. TNA should just do their own thing with allowing certain WWE Stars such as John Cena leave to make movies, and Shawn Michaels & the Undertaker leave for retirement. Then it will be Triple H all alone carrying the company!
