It was originally reported by The Cauliflower Alley Club website that Gerald Brisco had suffered a stroke. They've now updated their report to indicate that he hasn’t, but does have artery blockage and a heart issue. They posted the following:
CAC has been informed that Jerry Brisco has not had a stroke; however, does have an artery blockage and a heart issue. While specific details aren't available at this time, we have been told that he is expected to make a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry and the entire Brisco family at this time.
Gerald is still employed by WWE as a Road Agent

Good to hear hes expected a full recovery. Must be a relief to find out it was not a stroke although blockage can lead to a massive heart attack.

It was indeed revealed that he didnt suffer one stroke but 3! How ever he seems to be doing well. This is JR's latest blog which gives us some info on Jerry and his condition...
I spoke with my old friend Jerry Brisco on Friday and he was feeling better and looking forward to what he hopes will be his heart procedure next week in Tampa. As tests continue to be done and more info is provided Jerry, it has been discovered that he did not have any artery blockage whatsoever including his neck and that the sole source of his strokes was a result of a faulty heart valve along with a small hole in his heart both of which Jerry was born. It is amazing that Jerry was able to participate and succeed at such a high level athletically his entire life with a heart defect while showing no ill affects of the issue. Jerry's speech, as a result of the stroke issues, has improved tremendously since I talked to him last but I told him that he would always sound like an Okie which I don't perceive to be a bad thing. So the sole culprit of Jerry Brisco's health issues was a heart issue that he was born with and that he has been living with his entire life. The hospital stay after surgery is generally only 1-3 days while recovery time for such procedures is 4-6 weeks as a rule. With that said, it will probably be 2-3 months before Jerry is back at 100% and with his ticker then operating without defects I suspect the former Oklahoma State Cowboy will feel better than he has in years. Jerry Brisco, is a deserving WWE Hall of Famer, who has been a major asset to WWE for many, many years and is a credit to the profession. Brisco's eye for talent and his ability to recruit top quality athletes is an invaluable asset for WWE.

In his latest blog entry, Jim Ross gives an update on Jerry Brisco who underwent heart surgery yesterday in Tampa, Florida. He wrote the following:
Jerry Brisco called me today from a Tampa area "medical facility" aka a hospital having returned to his room a few minutes earlier from the recovery room after finally undergoing heart surgery early Thursday morning. Jerry said he was sore albeit relieved to finally get the surgery done after it was postponed a couple times over the past two weeks. The doctors traveled up an artery in Jerry's leg to perform the repair on a couple of birth defects in Brisco's heart. While there the cardiologists found another couple of small issues in the form of more tiny holes in the heart that had gone undetected but those matters were taken care of during the course of the surgery. Jerry came through his heart procedure with flying colors and is expected to go home perhaps as early as Friday. Jerry should be at 100% in 2-3 months but knowing him he will be chomping at the bit to get back to work earlier. I know Jerry was feeling better because he said he was hungry for some J.R.'s BBQ. We're going to try and accommodate him.
