Pre-WM25 Backstage Atmosphere In WWE Is "Chaotic" Reported by: Tim Brown February 19, 2009
One source close to the situation says that WWE’s creative team is going through a chaotic process trying to plan WrestleMania. They have one set of plans for if Mickey Rourke does agree to wrestle at WrestleMania, and another set of plans for if he does not. Mickey Rourke is holding back on making his decision until after this Sunday night’s Academy Awards, as it may hurt his chances at winning the Oscar. Rourke does have a legitimate concern, as the entertainment industry’s opinion of wrestling is still very low.
At this point in time, the only matches locked in for the big event are still HHH vs. Orton, Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy, and Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker. WWE wants obviously Rourke to face Jericho, but is trying to secure Hogan as a replacement opponent for Y2J should Rourke decline.
The days after the Academy Awards will be interesting, with more solid plans for WrestleMania 25 being put in place.

I was actually wondering how many matches they had booked so far, guess not many, lol. But, I definitely like HBK vs the Undertaker and Triple H vs Randy Orton. The Hardys? Who really still wants to watch either of them wrestle? Not me. I think Y2J vs Hogan could actually be pretty good. So, looks like we could be in store for some pretty good matches so far!

Y2J vs Hogan is interesting.....Taker vs HBK will be a classic..just wondering if the proposed Cena vs Edge match will live up to the hype

IMHO. Hogan vs Chris Jericho would suck. Probably more than Hogan's last WrestleMania match at WM19 against Vince McMahon. Here we are 6 years later from that match, and Hogan is 6 years older. I personally didn't think that match he had against Vince at WM19 was any good, and to have Hogan vs Jericho would be like The Rock vs Stone Cold at WM19, boring as hell!

Well would Savage vs. Jericho be any better...unless they can get Jericho vs. Flair

I personally would like Jericho go after a top WWE championship at WM25. As good as Jericho is, it's sad he has only been involved in one world championship match at WrestleMania. How many has John Cena been involved in? This guy has everything going for him to be involved in a championship match the past 5 years, now it looks like it will be 6 straight WrestleManias. I would like to see Jericho vs Edge at WM25 but WWE is kissing Cena's you know what!
