Update On Ashley's WWE Return?, London/Hardy Issues Reported by: Ryan Clark Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter February 15, 2009
As Ashley Massaro noted in a blog last week, the former WWE Diva recently had a talk with John Laurinaitis, WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Relations. However, with Gail Kim still sitting on the sidelines and a new batch of women waiting in the wings in developmental, her chances of returning to the company appear to be slim. WWE's head television producer Kevin Dunn, at least in the past, was a huge supporter of hers when most were negative on her. Dunn was high on her because she was selected by the fans as a Diva Search winner and he was the main person behind the concept. Dunn also had a hand in her landing the Survivor gig when most felt the role should have gone to someone who had more long-term potential such as Mike "The Miz" Mizanin. When Massaro returned from the show early last year, many felt her crowd appeal was gone due to her change in appearance. Many have also credited Paul London's downfall in the company to Massaro.
I don't have this confirmed by any means but Ashley Massaro used to date both Matt Hardy and Paul London during her time in WWE. No word on if this has anything to do with the recent back and forth trashing between Hardy and London.

Interesting Ashley is trying to get back into the WWE. I really think she took it for granted when she left, and now regrets it. Although now I understand if it was because her kid was really sick. I definitely always liked Ashley when she first came out. I'm not big on all her appearance changes though. She really had a good thing going in the WWE, a shame it changed. Maybe she can get some of that back though. They must of really liked her a lot too if they chose her for Survivor (even though she didn't do well) back then.

I heard about a possible return for Ashley last week and i was quiet happy about it i always liked Ashley, i think she always wanted to learn and improve in the ring but was never really given the oppertunity. But like it says there are people like Gail Kim waiting on the side lines, but if this is the case then maybe they should take advantage of the ECW brade and spread the divas over the three brands as opposed to just mainly Raw and Smackdown

True, they have Diva's waiting on the sidelines. But, Ashley really gets the fans into it, so they should definitely bring her in/give her a shot again. And, hopefully not in ECW, where she'll get lost, in, the land of the lost, lol.

I think I have talked enough about Ashley in recent months. I am not too sure what else to say. Here I am now trying to find the words I haven't already said. I am not gonna go off on a long reply because I see no point in it. Although I can say I am sick of going on a certain Ashley fan site that I hate reading the comments on.
I only see at this point in time. Ashley only has her supporters backing her which aint good enough for her to get another oppertunity. Yeah it might not look good for her to return, but I don't care about the odds. They only play out how people expect them to if someone happens to go to Las Vegas. I see no gambling in Pro Wrestling other than people willingly putting their bodies on the line to entertain us, so I end this reply by saying...I don't care how likely it is, or what anyone else has to say. I am more in favor of just having things play out how it will play out. Which is why I live by the saying "Whatever happens..happens!" If Ashley comes back, she comes back. If she doesn't, she doesn't. Life will still go on either way!
