Dave Meltzer is reporting that Kennedy recently had surgery for his torn labrum that he suffered during a SmackDown/ECW house show match against Shelton Benjamin on August 6th. Kennedy had tried to rehab the injury under the care of Dr. James Andrews, however, it was ineffective and it was determined that the only solution for the injury would be surgery. World renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andrews did the surgery.
Kennedy is expected to be out of action six to eight months. He is currently at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota with Mickie James and Josh Mathews representing WWE and their SmackDown Your Vote! campaign. Kennedy has his arm in a sling, obviously because of the injury.

sadly, i dont see kennedy remaining in WWE. He is what they call "injury prone". more injuries since his debut then ever and also the drug scandal issue didn't help him either. although i did see his match on TNA, in the early days and he looked good inside the TNA ring lol
