James "Sandman" Fullington was arrested last night at the La Lanterna restaurant in Yonkers for throwing glasses at employees of the restaurant.
When officers arrived, he started throwing glasses at them and two officers suffered cuts on the hands and arms. He was subdued and charged with second degree assault, a felony, third degree criminal mischief, also a felony, second degree reckless enlargement and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail for psychiatric evaluation.
According to an eye witness, police pulled guns on him in the incident at the birthday party for Louis Albano (the one and the same). Fullington was bleeding badly as the owner of the restaurant to try and subdue him threw a beer bottle which hit Fullington in the face.
It was reported several months ago that Sandman was not in good shape and this just goes to show you how bad he really is these days.

UPDATE: James "The Sandman" Fullington spent his fourth night straight in a Yonkers jail last night after he was denied bail by Yonkers City Court Judge Thomas Daly yesterday because of two prior felony convictions in his home state of Pennsylvania.
Fullington's son Tyler and daughter Kelly were in the courtroom during yesterday's hearing where Judge Daly told Fullington that he did not have jurisdiction to set bail. John R. Lewis, Fullington's attorney, said outside of the courtroom yesterday that the two prior felony convictions were for burglaries back in 1983 when he [Fullington] was only 20 years old.
Lewis told Daly that he was going to go to the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains today to seek bail from a higher court.
Daly issued a protective order yesterday barring Fullington from contact with La Lanterna owner Ralph Tarone. He also issued an order of protection demanding that Fullington stay away from the restaurant.
Fullingston's daughter Kelly left the courtroom in tears on Wednesday before the hearing was over. Fullington's handcuffs were only removed so that he could sign the orders of protection. Both of his children declined to speak with reporters
