To elaborate on the breaking story where a TNA crew member lost his life after Slammiversary last night, it is being reported that he died because of head injuries sustained when the scaffolding collapsed and he hit the concrete. Another crew member was from a local group called Crew 1 where he lost his thumb in the accident. It is believed that he is going to be OK.
Representatives from OSHA will be investigating the scene today at the Desoto County Civic Center as will other authorities to try and determine what caused the scaffolding to fall.
The names of both victims are being withheld at this time.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal has more on the accident that occurred after TNA Slammiversary last night that left one crew member dead and another injured. Deputy Chief Steve Pirtle of the Southaven Police Department told the publication that the men were standing at opposite ends of the same scaffolding as they took down lights over the stage when the scaffolding gave way.
A 911 call was placed at approximately 10:45 p.m. ET. As we reported earlier both men were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. While the names of both men still haven’t been released it should be noted that neither was an employee of TNA Entertainment, LLC. The man who died worked for Christie Lites, a stage lighting business focused on rentals and production, of Orlando, Florida. The other man worked for Crew One Productions, which has offices in Memphis, Chattanooga, Nashville and Atlanta, according to its Web site

I guess stranger things happen in the pro wrestling business. It happened. I wish it didn't, because now here we are posting messages discussing it. I much rather talk about other stuff besides this.
