The Sun out of the United Kingdom has a new interview online withTNA World Tag Team Champions Homicide & Hernandez as well as LAX side kick Salinas. The piece is used as promotion for TNA's upcoming United Kingdom tour although it was not without some controversial comments made by Homicide. Below are some of the highlights:
Homicide said the following regarding the TNA being inconsistent with the push of LAX: "There was a little personal problem going on, I feel that the company wasn’t confident in us that we could be on the top of our game. In the ghetto, in the hood, we say ‘They sleeping on us’. I’m not sure how popular that phrase is in the UK but it means they are not watching us very well. But now they’ve started waking up and saying ‘My God, people really like LAX!’ But the people have always liked us. Even when we were bad guys. Even when we burned the American flag we had a few Gringos cheering for us."
When asked his thoughts on TNA's upcoming UK tour and about being big stars overseas, Homicide said: "I don’t know about big stars, but if you want to say it like that it’s all good! I love the UK, it will be my 10th time going out there and we got some great fans out there who appreciate wrestling. America is a joke when it comes to wrestling fans. I’m going to say it out loud. We got good wrestling fans and we got smart marks who are bunch of idiots and dorks sitting at a computer and thinking they are better than a wrestler or a booker. But the UK fans are really great and I can’t wait to wrestle in Liverpool, Coventry and Essex."
When told that there are "smart marks" in the United Kingdom too, Homicide responded: "But not like the ones in the United States. Over here they deserve to get shanked. The UK fans are really great, they’re respectful. If you are a smart mark, be respectful."
