Update on Morgan/Gladiators

TNA wrestler Matt Morgan will be appearing on the second season of NBC's "American Gladiators". He will perform under the name "Beast". They plan on lowering him from the ceiling in a cage when he competes. Morgan originally backed out of the role after NBC wanted to sign him to a long-term contract with the show being his first priority. However, the two sides managed to come to an agreement and a deal was ultimately struck. Morgan has already filmed some segments. Both TNA and "American Gladiators" have agreed to work dates out together.

That'll be good to see, not sure if we are getting American Gladiators in the UK though but a new British has recently started on Sky One with a wrestler known on the local circuit over here.

I wonder if this will be a bad move for NBC, and American Gladiators. It already has had a retired wrestler hosting, now they are getting an active wrestler as one of the Gladiators. I am not sure how the public will react to this. Most people outside the wrestling fans think pro wrestling is fake. That is probably what they all will think about American Gladiators soon when the "Beast" appears. I heard something about this show not lasting past this season. It will be a shame, because I grew up watching this show in the late 80s, early 90s. They sure step it up a lot. Esspecially the "Eliminator" event.
