Lol, remember Sabu when he first started out in ECW. They used to bring him out in a stretcher tied up with a mask covering his mouth (like Hanibal Lector). Lol. Like a "Savage Beast" they used to say. I almost forgot all about this until I saw an old ECW match of him against then Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas who's manager back then was even Sherri Martel. Great great stuff back then.

I heard he would use crazy glue to seal his gashes. This guy was completely insane. I loved it and would like to see him come in and show Foley what real hardcore is.

They briefly cover the early years of Sabu on the 'Rise & Fall of ECW' DVD.

I think the King Of The Deathmatch knows what hardcore is. He did have to win a Barbed Wire Baseball Bat, 10,000 Thumbtack Death Match a Barbed Wire Board, Bed of Nails Death Match and a No Rope Barbed Wire, Explosive Barbed Wire Board Time Bomb Death Match to get that title you know. It's not just a saying. But back on topic Sabu is a Hardcore legend himself. That's what happend when you're trained by and your uncle is the hardcore godfather The Shiek (not to be confused with the Iron Shiek).

I know this is off topic with Sabu but I also heard I dont remember where but it was triple H talking he had an injured kness cap it had moved up towards his thigh and he literally pushed the knee cap back into place and wrapped tape around it to hold it in place so he could wrestle that night.

Wow, good dedication, lol. That's like when Ronnie Lott of the 49ers had a bruise on his finger so he simply cut off his finger and taped it up so he could play, lol.

These guys have alot of dedication to their jobs. Ronnie Lott was one bad dude on the field and would knock your head off.

With an uncle like the Sheik, who is the greatest heel in history and the 1st ever hardcore, you wonder where Sabu got his ideas from? The man is a true warrior...plain & simple.

Have to agree with that sentiment after seing the No Ropes Barbe Wire match between Sabu and Terry Funk for the ECW Heveywaight Title.
Sabu at one point basicaly sliced the mussel in his arm (I forget the actualy name of the mussle) and it was litraly just like niagra falls but with blood instead of water and it would require over a 100 stiches to fix after the match.
But Sabu just took the athlectic tape of his wristis and bound the wond shut with it and carried on for another I'd ruffly say 15 + mins.

That's exactly what he did. Then only time I can ever remember when Sabu got hurt and didn't want to continue was when Benoit gave him that backdrop in ECW and Sabu landed on his head and broke his neck.

LOL Sabu would pretty much have to be dead to not wrestle the man was incredible. True, he has so much dedication and love for the sport (and fans) it's truely incredible, glad he is at least still Wrestling in TNA, which I got to see more of his matches there though.

Wow, it was that bad, lol, that's crazy, and he just put a patch on it sorta speak and kept wrestling. Gotta give him so much respect. He does it for the love, not the money (obviously since it's ECW).

Sabu is really incredible when it comes to wrestling through all kinds of injuries and pains. I think if anyone passes Foley in that catergory its Sabu. And your right Ice he does it for the love and the fans not the money as ECW wasnt for the money but the mayhem.
