The decision to pull Kurt Angle from last night's Sacrifice PPV main event wasn't made until the day of the PPV.
The word making the rounds within TNA is that they expect Angle to be out for one month as a result of his neck injury.
The original plan was for Angle to face AJ Styles at Slammiversary, which takes place on June 8 in Southaven, MS (just outside of Memphis). It remains to be seen if Angle will be given the okay to return to the ring by that point. Tonight and tomorrow night's tapings for Impact should give an indication in regards to which direction they are going in.

I haven't seen Sacrifice yet as it airs Wednesday night on Bravo 2 over here in the UK, so I am pleased this doesn't spoil things. It's a shame about Angle's injury but if it is a one on one contest between Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner then I reckon that is better personally. Steiner deserves a good crack at the title.

Agree, Scott Steiner is talented enough to be a real threat. I always liked the Steiners.

i see a rematch in the very near future. I see them doing the 3 for a lil while, then Angle dropping out of it. only to face AJ Styles. that leaves Samoa V Steiner.... then i reckon you see Booker added to the mix. then Steiner may back out of it.

I have seen the PPV now, I think it was a shame that they added Kaz to the match keeping it a 3 way. It was a god match but a one on one title challenge would have meant more for Steiner. He did a good job with the 2 younger guys though. They ought to have given Kaz the opportunity at the following PPV. Next though I'd like to see Booker T involved in the main event slot. Kaz is OK but he's not got the pulling power of Sting, Steiner, Booker T etc, those ex WCW names have got to be a selling point for the old WCW fans, along with the Christian and Angle who are ex WWE guys who can't be seen elsewhere.
