Mike Tyson Update!
By Lisa Scott On April 30th, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson will participate in a charity walk in Las Vegas to help benefit disabled veterans of the Iraq War. The eight mile walk will begin at City Hall on Fremont St. and will run up Las Vegas Blvd., and end at Nellis Air Force Base. A trust fund has been established for donations.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In other Tyson news, noted director James Toback’s highly anticipated docomeentary on the former two-time heavyweight champ will premier at the Cannes Film Festival next month (May 14-25th). The docomeentary, entitled “Tyson,” follows the path that the fighter took after both his championship losses and his eventual fall from grace. Toback has said that he amassed over 30 hours of interviews with Tyson which took almost a year to complete. “Mike made himself completely vulnerable in this film, and he was honest about all the things that have highlighted his life,” said Toback. ‘Iron’ Mike is tentatively scheduled to attend the Cannes Festival, then will head to Britain for his week-long, 5-city dinner tour to benefit local charities. Real good guy what he's doing for charity. Cool he's helping boost the Independent Film circuit as well. Good to see/hear him doing a little better of late.
