Any favorites from the Philly area from the Kay Fabe era (through 82 or so)? I remember some goodies at the Arena and The Spectrum. Bruno vs Arion cage, SSBG vs Bruno cage, Blassie vs Morales cage, Tanaka/Fugi vs Pedro/Bruno TV, Strongbow Vs Jimmy Valiant, bringing all the Florida guys in for the first Spectrum Show, Bruno vs Steel (multiple time) on and on and on

I remember going to my aunt's house to watch the old Prism network. They used to show matches from the Spectrum. This was pre-Hogan, so for the longest time I'd see Bob Backlund wrestle George Steele, Sgt. Slaughter, Samoan #3, etc. I remember he fought Ivan Koloff one time & the ref stopped the match because Koloff was bleeding too heavy. This was the first time I had ever seen a wrestler bleed and I nearly puked! Great times!

Well, that's before my time, but I can comment from what I have seen on video. Here are a few standouts from what I have seen: 1. 3/21/81- Backlund/Slaughter cage match- lots of blood, good brawling, and perhaps the hottest heel in wrestling at the time.
2. 5/23/81- Slaughter/Patterson alley fight- almost as good as the Alley Fight as MSG, great brawling, psychology and heat.
3. The two Zybsko/Sammartino matches from 1980- a great, great feud, with unbelievable crowd heat.

Nice first match to ever see LBC Gangsta. Surprised you didn't turn into a Piper fan or him being your favorite. Piper was sure entertaining to watch, I always looked forward to watching his matches and Pits.

Hulk Hogan vs. Iron Sheik Pat Patterson vs. Bob Orton Jr.
One of my all-time fav arenas and wrestling town.
