Etienne gets 160 year sentence!
Thursday, June 22 2006
Heavyweight Clifford Etienne was sentenced to 160 years in prison on Thursday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "The Black Rhino," who fought in several high-profile bouts, including a 49-second loss to Mike Tyson, was sentenced for a crime spree that included robbing a check cashing business, carjacking and kidnapping a family, and attempting to shoot two policemen. He started boxing during a previous jail stint and compiled a 29-4-2 record with 20 KOs. His last fight was in May 2005, a third round KO loss to seven-foot WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev.

Crazy stuff happens sometimes, incredible. He was just boxing not too long ago still in high profile fights, why would he give that up and get all crazy? He had to make a few million while he was boxing. Unless he has a drug problem and "blows" it all away? He did actually have some good matches at times, just not against Tyson or Nikolai.

Just goes to show you how fast things can turn around on you and never get to comfortable with your lifestyle.

Even look at Tyson, he was on top of the world, now he has no money and a tattoo on the side of his face. At least Foreman did great and is still doing well, he was one of my favorites ever.
