They don't look that good this year, then again, they never do. It didn't take them long to have a losing record either. I don't even remember the last time they made the playoffs? In 1993 maybe?
Without the bat of Thome I think they'll have about 55 wins, but that's probably pushing it. Thome and Howard in the same lineup would of been nice, they should of tried to make it work and put (or forced) one of them in another position.

Thye'll do better than 55, Ice. I say 77 wins....they can play with some better teams and give them nightmares. Phillies are 2 years away from a serious run at the division title....just gotta wait.

Lol, I know I know, but not when it comes to the Phillies or Eagles. Well I used to like the Phillies when they had Pete Rose, Schmidt, Carlton, John Kruk, Dystra, etc. But those days are over and since they added a bad owner or general manager, and just really bad personal I cann't respect a team for making so many mistakes, and thinking their right and going in the right direction every year too, lol. Oh, and yeah Brunomark, I think the Marlins and Phillies will be pretty close this year. The Phillies are only 4 games under .500, that's actually pretty good for them, surprised their doing so well this year.  |

Yeah the Phillies wont win more than 60 games when they lost Thome they lost a good bat. And as Ice says the last really good team they had lost to the Bluejays in the World Series. Their management is not up to par and that hurts them almost more than anything. Ill take the Phillies with 58 wins this season.
