ESPN Classic was doing a thing on Bird the other day, it was great. He's probably my favorite professional basketball player ever.
What do you think of Larry Bird?
Edit-Heck, probably my favorite basketball player ever PERIOD, lol. That includes professionals, college, high school, middle school, etc. All leagues, during any era.

Oh man, Larry Legend rules. He could bang 3 pointers anywhere on the court and with anybody on him. He was one of my favorites ever too. Sure miss the days of watching him play.

Definitely. I have his jersey too, it's pretty cool.
Oh yeah, and my mom's cousin played on the rival school's team when Bird played in high school, and you know how before Bird played at ISU, he played at IU? Well before that, he played at a community college, and he played with my mom's cousin at the community college. But then Bird went on to IU, ISU, and of course the Boston Celtics in the NBA.

Geez, would of been awesome to play with or against Bird, I sure would of liked to. But at 6'9 I don't think I could of defended him too well.
Did your mom's cousin say anything bad or good about Bird? Did he ever hangout with him after games, on the weekend, or when ever?

Larry legend truly is a legend... i feel lucky to have got to see him play... My favorite player of all time. He is why I started to play basketball.
