It's kinda hard to explain this one but I'll give it a shot..........
To those who have close friends of the opposite sex, do you kiss that member of the opposite sex?
The reason why I ask is that recently, I went out with a gal I'll call SC. SC and I don't hang out much but we're close. She's like family. SC's mom and I are good friends.
Anyway, SC and I had an early dinner and then we decided to go to a movie. After that was over, she drove me home. As we said our goodbyes for the night, she leaned over and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. I didn't freak out but I thought it was weird. I liked it thought (that's the truth).
Then last week, SC and I met up for lunch near where I work at. Her birthday was the following day and she had texted me the night before to ask me if I was interested in going out to lunch with her. I said OK. As I got into the car, we kissed again while saying HI and I gave her her birthday present. She liked what I gave her and she kissed me again. I think that there was another kiss too at that time.
As we had lunch, she had mentioned that she hadn't seen Shrek 3 yet and I told I hadn't either. We agreed to go see it after I got off work.
I met up with her a few hours later at the movie theater near my apartment. I got there before her. As I saw her, we kissed again. Then after the movie was over, we kissed one more time before we said goodbye.
All of these kisses haven't been long at all. There's just quick ones. I consider her to be a close friend but I am not sure if maybe I should've kissed her in the first place. That very first kiss---she made the first move. Everything else, it just happened.
I don't know if she sees me in a different light or not. I do. One major drawback is that she's the daughter of a good friend of mine at work. SC's mom knew that we've hung out those few times. What SC's mom doesn't know is SC and I had kissed.
The other major drawback though is that SC is only 19. I am 33. The age difference doesn't bother me at all. Some of my other girl friends that I've talked to about it have actually encourged me to go after SC.
SC does have a boyfriend. I am not sure why she kissed me if she does have a boyfriend.
I would like to pursue it if that's what she'd like.
Anyone's perspective on this please?
