Have you ever went on a Date with somebody you met online?
If you did, how'd it go? Where did you meet them online, a dating website, censor, AOL chat room, etc. ?

Yes, I have, actually. I met this guy on CollegeClub.com way back before freshman year. Wrestling is what got us talkin' to each other, of course. We just had a natural bond b/c of it, and over the course of the next month or so, we found we had other things in common as well (i.e. movies, mixed martial arts, sports, things like that). Nine months after our first e-mail, we met in Toronto, Canada (he lived up in Canada, and we were both in town for Wrestlemania X-8). We went to a Hooter's for dinner (figures for a guy, huh? ), and then to the movies to see both "Ice Age" and "Resident Evil". It turned out to be a very amazing night, just because we finally got to meet after talking online and over the phone for so long. Presently, this guy is my best friend. I guess I lucked out by not meeting an axe murderer or somethin'.

Well glad you made a best friend.

When I went up to Canada for Wrestlemania X-8, yeah, I thought about movin' north o' the border. When the U.S. went to war in Iraq, HELL YEAH I thought about movin' out. (we won't go there, tho) My friend's workin' on comin' down to visit me for a week in August, though, so I'm happy about that. Cuz it's been nearly 3 1/2 years since we've seen each other...

I haven't and I don't plan to. I mean I am not going to go out of my way to meet somebody that I don't know anything about except from the text on my computer screen. If I knew I was going to be at the same place at the same time as somebody, maybe, but there had better be plenty of people around. You just can't trust people.

I was beginning to think I was the only girl on this forum, Amber. LOL. I completely agree with you, though, you can't really trust many people nowadays. But I knew Nick for nine months, and I never for once doubted that he was a cool guy, and not an axe murderer. I was lucky, I guess. I've heard plenty o' stories of girls meetin' guys they met off the internet, and then bad things happenin' to 'em. I may never meet another person I've talked to online for the rest of my life, but I took a chance with Nick, and I'm glad I did.

-- Yeah I have, several times actually.
I've been chatting since '96, so it's eventually happened a few times.
Each date was interesting, nothing out of the ordinary. One lady lied about her age though, she said she was 30 (I was 20 at the time, 10yr diff. not a big deal) and was actually 42 lol, but we agreed to keep the date more "friendly" than "romantic" so it was alil odd, but had a fun time anyways just hangin' out.

Yeah, I went on a date with a gal I met on-line back in 1997. We met in an old chat site called WBS.net. I'd say we hit it off pretty well, since we've been married since 1998. ;D

That's about 400 miles away, give or take. For our first date, she actually drove all that way to spend a Saturday with me. I showed her all around the Bosie area.
