Just got done watching the Married with Children when King Kong Bundy was on it, lol. It was from 1988 when Peggy's unusual family visits. I forgot how good it was and how much he was in it. At the end Bundy put his head threw the door instead of knocking and said, "we're here", lol. Great stuff.

Too bad King Kong Bundy couldn't get a regular gig on a sitcom. He could have been great.

Bundy wouldve made a great sitcom character in his own right. I loved watching him wrestle so I am sure I would have liked any sitcom he would have been in.

Picture him as a single dad trying to raise 3 girls while working as a mortician/part-time wrestler. Could have been hilarious.

From what I have been told: The creator are very big wrestling fans. Especially big fans of The American Dream Dusty Rhodes!!

It seems the creators were big wrestling fans. The Bundys are supposedly named after King Kong Bundy and the neighbors the Rhodes's were named after Dusty. In the early episodes Al also had a co-worker at the shoe store named Luke Ventura, who was presumably named after Jesse "The Body".
