I never knew Roseanne, Sam Kinison, Tina Caspary, and Hunter Carson were supposed to originally play the Bundys. Did anybody else know about this or why they didn't? www.bundyology.com/early.html

I know that a pilot was shot with Carson and Caspary and the producers weren't happy with them... www.bundypics.com/pilot.htmRoseanne and Kinison were replaced at an earlier stage, don't know why (glad they were though )

I really wish i could have seen Sam Kinison playing Al Bundy. I'm sure he would have been a lot more loud of a character knowing the way Sam was.

Thanks Siklign, looking at those pictures of the kids, they would of never worked, they didn't look right at all (Bud even looked like a girl), and to think we almost didn't have Christina Applegate and David Faustino, what a loss that would of been.

ed o'neill didn't even want to audition for the part. at the audition he was supposed to walk through an imaginary door. before he did he stopped and sighed, like he didn't really want to face his homelife. the casting director said this instantly earned him the part. great call.

Some things were meant to be...thankfully the cast ended up the way it did or it would have been very very different.

Lol, nice, didn't know that. Ed O'Neil is really great and played the role to a T.
