The Army of Darkness seemed like an interesting bunch, and with the "Fallen Angel" (Woman) in it why not. They were in Championship Wrestling from Florida and debuted in 1982. The following Wrestlers were in the Army of Darkness at one time or another: Kevin Sullivan, Purple Haze, Maha Singh , Billy Graham (Superstar), Incubus, Kharma/Molokai, Fallen Angel (Woman), Buzz Sawyer, Jake Roberts (Snake), Rev. Black, The Dream, The Saint, Luna Vachon, and Lock. Anybody remember them or have any comments about seeing them?

Funniest faction ever in wrestling.Kevin Sullivan raised the Purple Haze Mark Lewin from the sea to help him in his feud with Dusty Rhodes/Blackjack Mulligan.Sullivan put a hex on Barry Windhams neighbour who joined Sullivans army and changed her name to The Lock. They also wrestled in ICW(Savoldi,Boston),CWF and Hawaii using the devil worshipping gimmick.I strongly recommed anybody buying tapes from Florida or ICW featuring The Army of Darkness as its amazing stuff

I would like to see some of that stuff, wish I had a tape now, lol. To see a young "Woman" would be nice too. So they did debut in Championship Wrestling from Florida in 1982 or one of those other Wrestling Leagues you mentioned?

Yeah they debuted in Florida and also wrestled in other Promotions such as ICW which had a working relationship with Florida,a really funny thing was the whole Army of Darkness were brawling with Dusty Rhodes/Blackjack Mulligan and Kevin Sullivan just collapsed on the floor shouting "I need help",pretending to have a breakdown ignoring the brawling going on around him Sullivan also used "The Prince Of Darkness gimmick" in Smoky Mountain Wrestling when he attacked Brian Lee with the Golden Spike and butchered W*ing Kanemuras arm in a really bloody angle

Didn't Kevin Sullivan have a wrestler named "Dirty Rhodes" who looked like Dusty, except for an "X" on his forehead?

Dirty Rhodes was later brought into the CWA (Memphis Territory) claiming to be Dusty's heel cousin. He had some pretty bloody and violent feuds with Jerry Lawler,Jeff Jarrett, and Billy Travis. He was teamed up with Don Bass and later Phil Hickerson as well. They came into the territory before that as Fire ,Flame and Torch.Three large masked wrestlers who always used to throw fire.On one memorable episode of Memphis TV ,they held Lawler down and burned him with a cigarette lighter as opposed to the "gimmicked" flash paper usually used in wrestling................On the topic of the Army of Darkness, they were the only group in wrestling to take the whole occult/Satanic gimmick and really make it work. The WWF really could have learned a thing or two from this faction back when they were trying to do the Ministry of Darkness back in 99.

when Kevin was booking Florida, he kept himself on top doing 3 minute main events and broke a lot of friends in the business as part of his gang. His feud with Mulligan was interesting (including the spike through the heart and the heart attack gimmick) although, as one former FCW star told me "everythime Mulligan throws a punch, he exposes the business." Kevin kept things interesting in Florida and came up with some wild gimmicks at a time when most promotions were suffering.

Kevin Sullivan had an idea and was allowed to run with it. It's too bad most promoters can't figure this out.

Kevin Sullivan was a very peculiar guy with some very strange ideas and I believe thats why I liked him so much.
