X-Men Spin Off Movies: "Magneto" & "Wolverine"

Variety reports, that 20th Century Fox is working on another "X-Men" Spin-Off titled "Magneto". The studio hired Sheldon Turner ("The Amityville Horror") to write the screenplay.

The movie will likely show the early years of Magneto, so it is not clear if Ian McKellen will be back to reprise his role. Also Professor X will be involved. While Magneto was send to a concentration camp, Professor X was a soldier of the allied Forces.

Sheldon Turner said: ""I pitched a film that is almost 'The Pianist' meets 'X-Men,' about a guy who, after watching his family slaughtered, has an awakening of his powers and seeks revenge."

The Professor and Magneto will meet after the war, and when they discover that they both have supernatural powers, their differences turns them into enemys. "Magneto" will be produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studio’s Avi Arad. With the "Wolverine" movie, written by David Benioff, this is the second Spin-Off from the "X-Men" franchise.

Two spin offs from X-Men, "Wolverine" and "Magneto"!! I definitely look forward to watching them when they come out. I hope they do decide to use Sir Ian McKellen for the Magneto role, he's a incredible actor and has done the role as Magneto proud IMO. It will be interesting to view Magneto's life from his early years where he met Charles Xavier etc plus the "Wolverine" movie, i imagine it will show how Logan got his claws etc and the experiments that got done on him!!

Lol, I was just telling my friend (who used to be on here too, lol) that we hope they do more X-Men movies, and I was saying that a Wolverine, Magneto, Silver Surfer, or an Archangel Movie would be a great idea. Well 2 out of 4 isn't bad, lol. Sounds real good HBK, thanks for the heads up. I to thought that Magneto's career and relationship with Charles would be a great movie and story. Also Ian McKellen is a great Magneto HBK, your right. These Marvel Movies are great, lol.

X-Force would be good as well. Glataicus would be really epic as well

I hope this live action Transformer movie is good

They should also do Onslaught. In the comics most of the marvel characters had to kill themselves to kill Onslaught it was extremely good series and could be a really good movie but probably wont get made because of the money

Very true, Simon. Onslaught would probably end up being the most expensive movie in history....for about a year until the next blockbuster gets filmed.
