I know the US has BBC America, so I was wondering what comedy shows you get over there and what you think of them. Alot of popular UK shows were remade for US audiences such as Steptoe and Son, which was renamed 'Sanford and Son' in the US.

Really, so your saying the old 70s show Sanford and Son orginally came from the UK's idea of "Steptoe and Son? Did it take place in a Junkyard setting too? Was it any good?
Well we do have BBC here, but to tell you the truth I don't watch that channel much, now if they had the Ali G show on it I would. I know Graham Norton is on BBC, but I don't really like or watch his show. My mom is big on East Enders though and she cann't get enough of it.

Didn't the U.K. have a show called "Robin's Nest"? I think they took the premise of that & called it "Three's Company" over here.
In order to get the really good BBC channels, you either have to have a great cable system, or sattelite TV. In the TV guide, they have the following shows listed:
Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers, Mr. Bean, Keeping Up Appearances, Cash in the Attic, Blackadder, Brand New You, Coupling, The Graham Norton Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Teachers, The Office, Dobsons of Duncraig & Invaders.
A lot of these I haven't heard of. But I much prefer the British comedy over American comedy.

I only pay a TV Licence as its law. Believe me, if I didn't have to I'd gladly not have it. Then again, it could be worse, it could be ITV!!! In fact I only watch about 2 hours tops of terrestrial now anyway. There are only a handful of shows that are actually watchable on the Beeb now. Most of which aren't actually made by the BBC anymore either. Thank the gods I have Sky. ;D
