This week for That's my story and I'm sticking to it I'll be telling you what I think of the debut of Wrestling Society X.
There's an impressive roster and there was some good fast paced wrestling on the show but it seems like the producers of the show don't know how to film a wrestling show. Matt Sydal v.s. Jack Evans started the show and it was a good match that showcased both wrestlers' skills. Sydal and Evans both have amazing aerial skills and it doesn't really make sense that they aren't wrestling in the X Division. It was a good match but it showed some of the flaws of the producers because of how the match was filmed. It was filmed more like an action T.V. show then a wrestling show and there was a shot of the manager or the crowd after almost every move during the match. It was there being a shot of the manager or the crowd after almost every move that really didn't help the show because the filming didn't really show how fast paced the match was during the show. It also seemed like there were sound effects added to the show and it didn't help the show.
There was also a ten wrestler rumble to determine who would wrestling for the WSX title and it an action packed match but again it seems like sound effects were added to the match and it doesn't help the show. It was an okay match and it will be interesting to see who will win the WSX title. Teddy Hart was in the match and Teddy is a talented wrestler but his backstage attitude has ruined his opportunities to be a major star. If Teddy can't act like a professional inside the ring and backstage then he doesn't deserve to be a star. Teddy's attitude cost him a WWE developmental contract, a spot on the TNA roster, wrestling in ROH, and recently he claims he "quit" JAPW. JAPW is one of the few independent promotions that will book Teddy Hart and Teddy "quiting" JAPW shows that his attitude will probably prevent him from being a major star. Chris Hammrick made a brief appearance in the match and Hammick is probably one of the most under rated wrestlers in wrestling today. He's a good wrestler and he has alot of wrestling ability. He also wrestled in the original ECW for a few months before the company shut down and he also wrestles for independent promotions. New Jack was also in the match and it will be interesting to see if New Jack actually wrestles because New Jack doesn't have wrestling ability. The few things that New Jack can do in the ring is what was seen during the ten wrestler rumble match. He can use weapons and jump through tables but that's about all he can do in the ring. Vampiro and 6 Pac won the match and will wrestle for the WSX title but do they have what it takes to be a champion for a promotion? Vamprio and 6 Pac have both held many titles but they were mid card titles and I don't think that either of them could be a main event wrestler for a promotion.
Overall I think the debut of WSX was a good show but the show could improve and I think the show would improve if the show was filmed like a wrestling show instead of an action T.V. show. It's defiantly an interesting concept and it will be interesting to see what matches will be on the show in the next few weeks. The wrestling on the show is good but the production could defiantly improve and even though WSX probably won't be competition for the WWE it could still be an alternative for wrestling fans to watch instead of the terrible ECW T.V. show.
Until next week
