We live outside of city limits, so we can shoot fireworks ourselves (most shows got canceled because of rain) and usually we do that, because I ask, lol, but I didn't this year. Some of our neighbors were shooting fireworks though so my dad went over there and two other groups of people that live within a mile or so were doing the same. It's cool cause like one does it, then the other etc. Usually we're a part of the "club" but not this year, cause I didn't bother asking. Which is perfectly fine with me. I mean why spend $50-$100 on some stuff you're about to blow up when you can watch other people blow stuff up, lol.
I actually laid on our swing and watched it all till a minute ago when the mesquitos got to bad. But it was almost over anyway.
Oh and I worked til 5. Yep that was my 4th of July.
Question... do you guys in England have mesquitos?? I swear they are horrible in the south, especially places like Louisiana and Mississippi.

Nice Amber, sounds like you had a good 4th, good deal. Lol, glad your allowed to light your own firecrackers, never thought people couldn't on their own? Lol. But I guess maybe in some cities you cann't, never really thought about it or heard anything like that around here.

I know in a lot of places you can't because of the fire hazard and the noise disturbance. Most of the time people do it anyway, but some cops will bust you for it. But yeah, I had fun on the 4th except that I worked all day. Though it was so slow, it wasn't much like working, lol.
