Some huge updates in the Rock Against Cancer compilation with 3 more bands joining the cause and a few more in negotiations to appear on the release. Here is the download on the 3 amazing bands that have joined the past week
Shrewsbury's finest Project Valkyrie have donated the track "The Battle For Valhalla" which is the title track from their debut album (Out spring on Psycho phonic Records) as well as being the main track for the upcoming film The Silencer* (Also out for this spring). The blend melodic vocals with guitar riffs that could hook a fish along side some hard metallic interplay, to say this band span genres is an understatement as they have supported the like of trashes Fourwaykill and chart punker’s Agent Blue with out changing anything about their musical style. They are a band to look out for as they are set to explode as they appeal to most music fans not just one genre’s worth
Next up is the odd and down right strange Rig Up Explosives, to put them into any one genre would be harder than finding a piece of hay in a large stack of needles (et al Black Adder) as one second they can go from Mediterranean feeling acoustic guitars to harsh metal core beats in 0.1 second flat. "Gunned down outside Midgar" however an example of the bands is more melodic side as this ballad shows the bands indie side and is a perfect edition to the track list
And the final addition to the line up this week is cyber metalist Avoidance Of Doubt who have added the Angel Antlight remix of the song "Geez Wept" from their brand new EP "Through My Eyes". If you haven’t heard AOD before imagine Dope playing Sisters Of Mercy & Ministry covers but blending some dance beats and even heavier industrial guitar riffs and you kind of have the sound that AOD are trying to supply. They plan to be the next big industrial band as they work hard and are even planning a USA tour later in the year
These 3 awesome bands join the likes of melodic rockers View From A Throne, metalists Attica Rage, Allergen, Seed Factory and Nervaxis, industrialist types Pro-Jekt & Killing Miranda and punker’s The Elderly. expect more additions to the track list very soon and remember that the deadline for sending submissions is 31ST OF MAY so get sending in your tracks to
Simon Eaton Sikotick Records 4 Stapeley Terrace Nantwich Cheshire ENGLAND CW5 6LS
The CD is filling fast so get in your tracks before its to late
Thank you for your time

Some more exciting news regarding the Rock against Cancer release later on in the year. As Sikotick Records are proud to announce that the line up has been blistered once again as we add 3 new bands to the line up
The first international act confirmed for the project is being announced today as the united states Charlie Drown have joined the ranks. Their track "Beta Switch" is taken from their album "Pretty Machine Gun" which was produced by the bands keyboardist/sampler Sascha K and industrial legends KMFDM and shows that girls have their place in industrial style music as well and are defiantly for fans of Genitorturs, Nocturne and Invey as well as Dope, Powerman 5000. Look out for this band as they have all the tools to make it big in the industry
Next up is Telfords Vert who have allowed us to use live favourite "Skin" which has been taken from their upcoming debut album "Accepting Denial" which release details are being finalized. By blending some summary grooves, toe tappingbase lines and lashings of melodic vocals into the band they come out sounding like a mix of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lost Prophets and Reef, which has got them many a support slot with the likes of Skindred, Mendeed, The Blueprint & Devil Sold His Soul. These are definitely chart hopefuls for the future but also have the edge that makes them likable to most rock fans so check them out.
And finally for this week we have got Cherry Roses from Crewe who aren't trying to push any musical boundaries and look to just rock out the old fashion way with influences from the likes of AC/DC, Aerosmith & Led Zepplin. After only being around for a matter of months the band have made waves as they have been invited to play gigs in Birmingham as well as a huge biker festival in Anglesey so look out for this band to bring back some classic rock to the world
3 more bands added to this amazing line up and lots more to come in the next few weeks. But there is only limited space now so get your tracks in quickly to avoid disappointment remember all money made is going to Cancer Research and The Douglas Macmillan Hospice so please, please send us tracks and support us in this.
Remember to include postal and email addresses, bios, photos and upcoming gigs when you submit a track and 31st MAY is your deadline for submissions.
CD should be sent to
Simon Eaton Sikotick Records 4 Stapeley Terrace Nantwich Cheshire ENGLAND CW5 6LS
If you have any questions please email us at EnimaTheBand@hotmail.com

Next up is are second international act AllunderAge from Holland who’s track "No Easy Words" is taken from their debut album "No Jokes...No Funny Stuff" out now on White Russian Records as the band look to spread to different countries after supporting the likes of Rentokill, Rise Against, Tsunami Bomb plus extensive headline slots in their native land have landed them a major following but are now looking to invade foreign lands and they are starting with this compilation so look out for them in the future
And the final track comes all the way from Brazil with the incredible short "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" by Doped Dog off of Enemy One Records its a short song but it pretty much sums up the whole album and is a very welcome edition to the roster look out for Doped Dog and more releases off this great punk label as they are both on the up
