I'm feeling extremly naff at the moment. Due to the fact that the collage I attend to is haveing building work done. One whole section of it has been demolied. The result of this was a huge amount of dust made up of fine concret particals ect. Which has gotern into my (and other students) throat and lungs and left me stuck at home Ill with a sore throat and coughing fits.

Sorry bro, if they were smart they'd have the school closed until they finished or at least the dust cleared. Or really they should of done it in between semesters.

They should get into trouble for having you guys there during all that. I mean, concrete in your lungs doesn't sound very pleasant, which I'm sure it's not, but too much of it could kill you couldn't it?? I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but it seems like I've heard something like that happening before. I dunno... I'm sure you'll get well in no time though. Hope you feel better soon.

It probabley could Amber.
But I think you might be thinking of Asbestos. That stuff can kill you if you inhale to much.
As far as I know the scetion that was knocked down did not have any asbestos lining. And if it had I'm 100% sure that lessons would have been canacled untill the Workmen had removed it all safely.
We had asbestos problems in my old Sixth Form comman room. The celling had got damadged after someone thought it would be a realy good joke to clogg the sinks in the Sicence room above and leave the water running all weekend.
Came back on monday to find a huge whole in the celling, one of the sofers crushed and a minture Niagra Falls free falling in the ceter of the room from the hole in the celling. The workemen came to fix it and came out a bit later and said.
"The cellings got Asbestos insulating. It'll take abotu a month to clear that out and then repair the damage.
