Can you work out your Abs too much thus getting no or poor results?
At times I would work out my Abs everyday, sometimes twice a day. My workout consisted of 2-4 different types of Ab/Stomach exercises. Crunches with 10 pound weight on chest (100 reps), Reverse Crunches on bench (40 reps), and 2 others holding in my stomach while elevating and holding legs in the air for 15 seconds (sets of 8 each).
I thought since it's a form of cardiovascular workout that the more you workout your stomach the better. But now I heard that your stomach muscles need time to heal in order to lose weight and tone the stomach. At least one days rest. Is this right, what do you think?

I asked Bob Holly this same question and he took the time to answer it for me. I give him a lot of respect for that, he seems pretty cool. Here's what he wrote in responce to my Ab question.
"Iceman, I think that all muscles need time to heal, I do not work abs specifically so this is never an issue for me. My abs get worked out, when I do other exercises, because I keep them engaged so, that they become one of the secondary muscles being used in my work out. I never do crunches, reverse, or others....... for me it just hasn't been a necessity. Good Luck, Bob"
