I’m about to go insane! Seriously, guys I have so much homework it’s not even funny. I’ve been working two hours straight and I’m not even half-way through, but I’m taking a little break before I decide to throw my Algebra book out of the (closed) window. This is what all homework I have for tonight.
Chemistry- Read Chapter 3 AND 4, Define Key terms on pages 77 and 102 (There are like 30 of them!) Algebra II- pages 47-50 Chapter Review #’s 1-51 (That’s like 4-5 pages worth of math, which I hate by the way.) English III- Read about Benjamin Franklin pages 84-97, Write down important information (Okay, just about everything in there is important.) Recopy notes on Salem Witch Trials (This one I brought on myself. Wasn’t paying attention and wrote them all in the wrong place.) Newspaper- Finish Article on 4-H Junior Leader Exchange Trip to Wisconsin
Get Yearbook Money ($35) Get School Spirit T-Shirt Money ($10, I go to public school, but we have to wear uniforms and they decided to make shirts this year that we can wear on Fridays instead of our regular uniform shirts if we want.) Get Quiz Bowl Permission Slip signed (I’m on Quiz Bowl, which is an Academic Team, though I have never heard it referred to as that until I read the slip, which is so I can go to our meet tomorrow. It’s at another school an hour or two away so we need a permission slip to leave early.)
Don't you think this is a bit much? I mean, I'm not even going to have time to watch RAW which means I have to tape it and watch it tomorrow and I hate doing that. I don't want to stay up late doing homework either because I have band (marching) practice in the morning.
On the field by 6:15, Mondays through Thursdays. If you're late, you run a lap around the football field, something that we have to do occasionally even if we're not late. Screw up too much, the whole band runs, because he says we must not be awake if we're making all these mistakes. We get assigned push-ups if we screw up too much too, but luckily I don't usually do that. Been doing it long enough (Junior, woohoo!). Freshman year though... lol. I think we're in better shape than the football team personally!
So yeah, just thought I'd vent a bit. It's about time for me to get back to work though.

I know how that goes, Amber. 15 credit hours (five college classes, 3 credits each), an exec position in an organization that requires five weekly office hours, two fraternities, two jobs, a full-time internship, and a bunch o' other stuff. Between my classes, I think I have about 40 separate writing assignments over the course of the semester. Reeeeeeeeeeeee-diculous. But ya know, I've found that if I focus too much on school and whatnot, I get all grumpy. Whether I have homework or not, Monday nights at 9 p.m. (Friday's at 8 p.m. ), I'm in front of my television for "Me-Time" AKA WWE Programming. LOL So, I know you're busy, but...try to take some time out for yourself so you don't break down. Trust me, you do *not* wanna learn that the hard way...

Thanks guys! Geesh, Wrestling Chick! I never really thought about how much work I'm going to have to do in college... It's all right though. I can manage. Particularly if I remind myself to take some of that "me" time you were talking about, lol. Monday was a little more hectic than usual. Luckily I didn't have as much homework last night, because of the Quiz Bowl meet. We had a couple of hours between our first and second matches, so me and the rest of the Varsity team (we're all junior taking basically the same classes) worked on homework for a while. We were actually the only people there doing homework. But I managed to finish everything both nights just fine. I didn't have near as much homework tonight either, but that's only because all the teachers seem to think alike or something because they're always making their tests on the same days. I have like 3 or 4 major tests tomorrow. I was falling asleep all day today though, because we didn't even get back to the school after the meet until like 9:30, so I didn't get to sleep until like 11:30 or so and I kept waking up because I have a cold and I couldn't breathe. Then I had to get up at 5. I literally dozed off while eating lunch today. Luckily I woke up immediately, lol.
Varisty won consolation at the meet by the way. We lost our first match 105-135, which is not bad, won the second match 125-120, and won the third match the consolation round, 120-80. So we were like the winner of the losers. Everybody who loses their first match goes into the consolation bracket so yeah. JV didn't do so well though. They lost out, or lost two matches in a row. Their score for the first game was 25-210. I think that is the worst score ever in the history of Quiz Bowl, lol. But they only lost by 40 points in their second match which is alright. Nobody on the JV team had ever did Quiz Bowl before, so they had a bit of leeway.
So anyways, thanks again you guys for your encouragement/advice. I was having a bad day.

Yeah, I usually am the most positive person I know, lol. I generally don't really have bad days. Little things don't usually get to me and as for the big things I always find something good about them or a way around them or I just deal with them and move on, but it was just different that day. Sounds dumb, but I think it was the Algebra that sent me over the top, lol. I'm not bad at it, but I hate math and I really hate Algebra. I had a little bit too much on my plate that day I guess, lol. I think we all have days like that sometimes.

Oh, I am right there with ya, Amber. Math is the prevailing creation of Satan himself! I hate that subject! Always have, and I always will! I'm not bad at it (I can pull a high-B/low-A when I put my mind to it), but jeez, if it ain't the most complicated subject in the world, I don't know what is. Reminds me of "Blue Collar Comedy Tour", Bill Engvall was talkin' about how he was gonna help his daughter with her math homework. He looiks at the sheet with the problems on it, looks at her, looks back at the sheet, then goes, "When'd they start puttin' letters with it?" LMAO! Oh, gotta love those country bumpkin comedians! Hope that put a smile on your face, Amber. And don't worry, bad days happen to the best of us.

I love the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again and though I rarely watch it Blue Collar TV. Bill Engvall is my favorite. But I think those four guys are probably the funniest people on the planet. How they found each other is beyond me, lol. Just so ya know, it did put a smile on my face, lol.

Maybe you should give the rock bottom to your band teacher. LOL Blue Collar Tour was great.... didn't care for the 2nd one as much, but I did see Ron White live here in Pittsburgh, and would gladly pay to go see him again. The crowd "popped" for "I was thrown out of a bar in New York City..."

Maybe you should give the rock bottom to your band teacher. Nah, he's cool. Probably the coolest teacher at school. Actually it's either really early or I have to waste my free time after-school in the extreme heat. So, I'd probably prefer the mornings anyway. And there are people sometimes that goof off enough to where they do need laps or push-ups, but I just don't like it when he makes everybody do them. I don't know about other places, but it's pretty common around here to see band directors discipline their students that way (the push-ups anyways). Our bus broke down once during my freshman year after a football game, and we went through their band room to use the bathroom. There were like 30 people on the floor doing push-ups. I thought it was kinda funny. It's not really any different that football players doing down-ups (up-downs? I dunno, lol) or suicides or whatever their coaches make them do when they mess up.
