Flair? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he had anything to do with the booking since 1995.

He was like Arn Anderson is now in WWE, a booking "consultant", just like Dusty Rhodes is as well. I call it a booker, but technically..you're right.

I like Vince McMahon better in owning WCW than Ted Turner. WWE got WCW's Belt(Rey Mysterio Got it now). Ted Turner only used the old gimmicks of WWE/WWF in the 80's, thats why I'm very happy when Vince got the WCW franchise in the past.

Ted and Bischoff did a lot more than recycle old WWF gimmicks. Bischoff, as much as I can't stand the guy, is a genius regarding certain aspects of wrestling. Not giving him credit is a major mistake.

WCW was a money loser and basically a tax write-off for Ted Turner until Bischoff started opening up Ted's pocketbook and bringing in Hogan, Savage, and everybody else from the WWF. The only thing bad about it was that the guys who had been there for years had to take a back seat and were essentially buried. IMO, the quality of the product also started to suffer when Hogan and Co. came onboard, but they had the name recognition and it led to more people becoming interested in WCW because now they had a group of "major league" caliber guys playing there (remember the WCW slogan "This is where the big boys play"?). Most importantly, having Hogan, the one guy who transcended wrestling, helped them tremendously in the mainstream. In 1994 (the year Hogan arrived) they basically broke even and 1995 was the first year where they managed to turn a profit. In 1996-97 the nWo dominated the wrestling world and 1998 was their most successful year ever in terms of revenue even though the WWF had made a comeback. Even the first quarter of 1999 was their most proftable quarter ever. After that though, all of the mistakes they had made started to catch up with them. They ended up bringing Russo in and he eventually dragged them into the depths of hell.

Vince Russo was the one who loved to recycle old ideas. He was the one who pitched the Huckster, Nacho Man & Scheme Gene for the WWF ads against WCW. He also was the genius who thought of the fake Razor and the fake Diesel plus when he went to WCW he created Oklahoma for Jim Ross and tried to make Shawn Stasiak "perfect". Utter stupidity.

I dont like Vince Russo and when he came to WCW I was sickened by it. Russo is a disaster waiting to happen when hes brought aboard and thats what happened in WCW. He as you stated Alpha recycles more ideas and it just doesnt work.

Since WWE bought WCW, I don't think the whole WWE/WCW rivalry would be the same. WWE has all the rights to the WCW stuff, if I'm correct, so like it would be WWE all over again, just under the WCW name. Because ECW unlike WCW, had/has more of a different type of audience than that of WWE, whereas WWE and WCW were basically selling the same thing, just with different faces.

Even if it was brought back it would never be anywhere close to the WWEs caliber with Vince running the show.

on EWR a promotion game i brought back WCW as a brand and i would love to see it in real life but then whats the point of it i would rather see the WWE use the video library they have as it has all the classic wrestling promotions and air some WCW shows from the good ol days !

I would rather have had WCW than ECW brought back but I guess since Heyman was in the WWE Vince used that to bring back ECW. Dont get me wrong ECW has a great past and many great notable stars but my heart has always been with WCW.

As I said earlier, I don't think WCW should come back. 1) WWE doesn't see any value in the brand other than the video library (which I personally happen to agree with) and 2) if they did bring it back, it would probably suck worse than the new ECW does, which Vince has already screwed up and it's only a month old.

WCW is dead in the water and thats the bottomline cause "Vince said so!". I watch TNA which has former WCW/WWE stars and it reminds me of the old WCW days even though they have an 8 sided ring like the AAA does in mexico.

No!!! I don't want to see WCW be brought back. If it was it would just be another lame WWE brand like ECW is. What I really wanna see is a true alternative to the WWE & that's TNA!!
