I heard a lot of people from the UK didn't get WCW on TV which suprised me. What about Canada top? A lot of people missed out on WCW, geez, half the world, lol. No wonder everybody is pro WWE, because they simply never got to see WCW, and if they did televise it there, maybe WCW would of made more money and been around longer or today? I'm talking about from when the NWO was formed in WCW until the last day in 2001.
Same with ECW, did you guys get to see it when it first came out? If not then a lot of people sure missed out and have no idea how good it was compared to what their showing now, lol.

Yes - both were aired in some form or fashion - we got to see Nitro and Thunder through the SKY TV network - and I think they were shown on a classic movie channel lol. I would watch it to see what Hogan was doing - I'd tune in just to see him. As for ECW - we eventually got to see it through the 'BRAVO' Channel but I think it was towards the end of its existence.

Diabolo is correct - and the classic movie channel he's referring to is TNT, which immediately followed the Cartoon Network at 7 pm.
WCW was aired at 9 pm over here, at least it was for Nitro. So that the 'Monday Night Wars' weren't just limited to the USA, Raw was aired at 10 pm on another channel, usually Sky Sports 1 at the time. What I used to do is watch the first hour of WCW and the switch to Raw, and then I'd channel surf back to WCW when Raw was having an advertisement break.
ECW was shown on Bravo at some silly time in the morning, at about 2 am.

I am proud to say that iI have EVERY SINGLE episode of ECW that was aired on Bravo from 1997 through to 2001. The very first episode shown was the one where Kurt Angle appeared at the ECW arena and then stormed out after seeing the crucifiction angle (no pun intended!). It did stop for a short while after a few months and when it came back it had jumped to its proper timeline (We got it aweek after it was shown in America) and stayed there until the last program. As for WCW, well Ive managed to see this on UK tv since the late 80s (in some areas in the UK got it even earlier). Fair enough it was only WCW Worldwide and was on about half bloody 4 in the morning, but it was well worth the effort taping it. Without it I would of never of gotten to see the Hollywod Blondes in their prime.

We also had WCW on Channel 5 for a little while towards the end but it was just a 1 hour show that caught you up with storylines and had a few matches

Wow, that's pretty cool you guys did get both, although not fully and easily (channel/time). I was starting to think you didn't get it and couldn't believe that, lol.
Yeah Black Tiger, I remember that show with Kurt in the stands seeing what ECW was all about and maybe joining, until he saw that show, lol. That was some great and crazy stuff between Sandman and Raven then too, then again all of ECW was great then, lol. But you did miss a lot of great stuff before that Black Tiger if that's only the first episode that aired there. I even went to one ECW show live in Philly too, it was great, lol.
Geez, those days of WCW and ECW you guys just talked about were some great Wrestling days. When Hogan started up the NWO with Hall and Nash Wrestling was really worth watching, lol. I even thought the next day in school, was that real last night? What's up with this NWO gang? Are they really taking over Wrestling? And Rodman is with them too? Lol. WCW Nitro was great. Back then a few of us would even watch it over my one friends house. Miss those days, it's sad, lol.

In the UK, we got WCW on ITV (at night and in the afternoons on Saturday's IIRC) and on TNT (Nitro and Thunder). Towards the end, WCW was shown on Bravo. WCW was also available on network television in the UK, on Channel 5, which was a highlight show of Monday Nitro if I remember correctly.
As for ECW, it was shown on Bravo too. They began showing it in around 1999/2000. Bravo originally showed the events from 1996/1997 and later on they showed more recent up to date shows/events.
