Which Wrestling time period was your favorite?
I would have to say "Classic" WWF in the 1980s. That's what first got me into Wrestling. Seeing Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage back then was great. All the Interviews, Skits, Saturday Night's Main Events, and Piper's Pits were great.

For me, nothing beats "the Rock "N" Wrestling Connection" in the mid-80's. Nothing better than REAL pros like Hogan,Piper,Snuka,Andre,JYD.

I loved the old NWA. It had that old look to it: Stale cigar smoke, cool looking title belts and (whenever Flair or Dusty wrestled) lots of blood.

Kinda like Cowboys and Saloons to me. Lol, half the Wrestlers even wore Cowboy boots which was cool. Also every match with Flair from 1975-1987 was great. Actually I just watched Ric Flair (Belt) vs Dusty Rhodes in a Steel Cage Match from 1986 Great American Bash. Pretty good match, lol, it sure got bloody too, your right.

I have to say that from 83 thru 89,pro wrestling in general was at its best. Many different territories to watch, many different styles.you rarely got tired of anyone ,since they could go work another company/territory and be fresh again........................then again in the mid nineties with WCW,WWF,ECW and some smaller groups hanging on.Those times were indeed exciting.Exciting enough to where a large number of people I knew who had quit watching around 94 or so,actually became full fledged marks again.Plus the number of casual or mainstream viewers got bigger than ever...including the 80s.So in general I would say the 80s were the best time to get into wrestling, and the mid 90s were the best time ever for the business itself. In terms of which promotion, I guess i would slightly give the nod to the mid 80s NWA.But in reality ,during that time frame ,wrestling itself was a treat to watch from any company.

Well since I was born in 1984, and couldnt really appreciate wrestling in the late 80's, my favorite time period was WWF Late 90's.
Mainly 1997(specifically May-November), when they had the whole USA vs Canada thing with HBK, Austin vs Hart Foundation.
For me I was never more into the storylines then that one for some reason. I really looked forward to Raw every Monday and really enjoyed Bret Hart as a heel.

The Monday Night Wars were my favourite, mainly because I had just got into wrestling at that time, and because I really got into the 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin charater. However, I have recently obtained some WCW early 90s footage and I have developed a soft spot for it.

Classic WWF 80's. I'm sure it's down to nostalgia since that's when I discovered wrestling.

i really loved the late 90's - early 2000's for wrestling ... going back and forth between raw and nitro .. the peak of the business for our generation ... so it was tough to choose between wwf at that time or wcw
in the end i went with wcw

While I started watchin' around '92/93, and was hooked in '94, wrestling didn't get *really* exciting until the mid- to late-'90s. At that point, all three wrestling companies were thriving, and there were new superstars bein' born seemingly on a weekly basis. I can remember goin' into class the day after a RAW/Nitro, and askin' my fellow wrestling fan friends, "Did you see what happened last night?! OMG, that was awesome!" Comin' into college, there weren't that many people I knew who watched wrestling, so on those nights, I was stuck watchin' by myself. WWE present-day is startin' to get as good as those days, IMO, and I think that if TNA can get a good following/steady financial backing/television timeslots, they'll provide some decent competition to the WWE, and the wrestling business will thrive like it did during the Monday Night Wars.
