Thanks Amber for the story about Brody's death, I didn't know all that.
Tony Atlas & Dutch Mantell were in the lockeroom when this happened? They viewed it and didn't testify or even stop it? That's crazy Grumpy Old Man that you met Tony Atlas and he said/shared that with you. I bet you weren't expecting that.
Yeah, your right Student of the Game, you make some good points there about life.

Some history on the Grand Wizard (Ernie Roth) who died of a heart attack on October 12th, 1983, age 54.
"Ernie Roth is most known for his days in the "WWWF" World Wide Wrestling Federation, as "The Grand Wizard"
"Sgt Slaughter came out for a match and saluted the empty corner in tribute to the Wizard" The Grand Wizard was the Manager of Sgt Slaughter.
"The Grand Wizard was scheduled to manage Paul Orndorff before he died"

All of those workers contributed greatly to this industry and should never be forgotten. Its still hard for me to believe that Hennig,Rude,Owen,Bulldog,Bossman ,and Hawk are gone. They all played a big part of wrestling in my early-mid teens.Louie Spiccolli was also quite the shock when that was announced on Nitro.Chris Candido's recent death hit hard ,because he was at an IWA Mid-South show late last year and was in impeccable form.I got to talk to him and he had cleaned up his act and was healthy and looking forward to rejuvenating his career.Which he was doing in TNA at the time of his death. On a side note,he and Spiccoli were very good friends outside the ring........and believe it or not ...I am STILL completely shocked that Brian Pillman is no longer with us.Its been 8 years since his death, and yet it seems just like yesterday when i got the news.Truly unfortunate circomestances and losses they were for the both the business and and those who knew them.By the way,for you younger folks out there,The Grand Wizard was one of the absolute best managers ever.A truly colorful and entertaining gimmick for an entertaining personality.....R.I.P. to all we have lost.

Completly agree with you RF 4 Ever. Ernie Roth in my oppinion is right up there with Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart as on of the greatest managers ever. I'd also like to pay respect to Hercules Hernandez, one of my favs from the 80's/90's was realy saderned and shocked when I heard he had passed away. Rick Rude was the other one that I realy miss I was looking forward to him returning to the WWF as he was in training to do so when he passed on. The recent deaths of Boss Man, Hawk, Curt Henning, Davey Boy Smith & Eddie Guerrero realy shocked me as well we've lost some of the great icons and legends as well as a futer legend of the wrestling world Rest In Peace guys I guess heven must have need some Heros.

Also, former CZW wrestler Chri$ Ca$h, who died in a motorcycle accident in August, at just 22 years of age. RIP.

The one I remember the most was Dino Bravo. He was not killed in a drive-by, but in his Laval, Canada home. He was shot several times (police found 17 shell casings at the scene). He was murdered gangland style over his supposed involvement in the trafficking of bootleg cigarettes. Do not know to this day if anyone was ever charged.

I believe Bossman died of heart attack. Getting unreal how many wrestlers are dying of heart attacks these days.

Why would he be in a gang at his age and with already being a star in the WWF? And for bootleg cigarettes? Wow. I guess this must of happened after his WWF career and he wasn't doing well. That's ashame. Yeah, to much stress on the Heart more and more with all the different drugs Wrestlers are taken and that's why were hearing about so many heart attacks at a young age, it's a shame.
