What do you think about all the Wrestlers that died at a young age? The Grand Wizard 54 (1983 - Heart Attack) Bruiser Brody 42 (1988 - Stabbed in Lockeroom) Adrian Adonis 34 (1988 - Car Accident) Uncle Elmer 54 (1992 - Diabetes) Dino Bravo 44 (1993 - Drive By Shooting) Kerry Von Erich 33 (1960-1993 - Suicide: Shotgun to the Chest) Andre the Giant 46 (1993 - Heart Attack: While attending his father's funeral) Eddie Gilbert 33, Ex-Husband of Missy Hyatt & Madusa (1995 - Heart Attack) Big John Stud 46 (1995 - Hodgkin's Disease) Dick Murdoch 49 (1996 - Heart Attack) Brian Pillman "Flying Brain" 35 (1997 - Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease) Junk Yard Dog 45 (1998 - Car Accident: Fell asleep at the wheel) Owen Hart 33 (1999 - Accidental Fall) Rick Rude 41 (1999 - Heart Attack) Yokozuma 34 (2000 - Heart Attack) Rocco Rock, from Public Enemy 49 (2002 - Heart Attack) Big Dick Dudley 34 (2002 - Kidney Failure) British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith 39 (2002 - Heart Attack) The Wall, from WCW 36 (2003 - Heart Attack) Pitbull #2, from ECW 36 (2003 - Drug Overdose) Hawk from the Road Warriors 46 (2003 - Heart Attack) Elizabeth 42 (2003 - Drug Overdose) Mr. Perfect, Curt Hennig 44 (2003 - Drug Overdose) Big Boss Man 42 (2004 - Heart Attack) Hercules 45 (2004 - Heart Attack) I think it's crazy that all of these wrestlers (except Uncle Elmer and the Grand Wizard), didn't live beyond 50 years old. It's ashame, they accomplished so much, I give them all respect. Some Credit: "John's Insane Plan" at www.mikels.cjb.net . For more in depth information you can go there.

The only top card wrestler for more than six months was andre the giant, so I'm not that surprised. What did Elizabeth die from anyway...does anyone know?

Its really sad to see such great talent die at such a relativly young age
It makes you think - is it the pressures and natures of the job that have contributed - or is it just one nasty coincidence ?
The life of a full time wrestler is one I know I could'nt do - I have all the respect in the world for what they do and the sacrafices they make

It's really sad and it just plain sucks. I hope that all of them and the many other wrestlers that died at such a young age all rest in peace.
I agree. She was living with Lex Luger at the time. I don't know why, but I've never cared for him. Anyways, I think he had something to do with it.

Big Boss Man 42-Tragic was a great wrestler. Hercules 46-Tough big man maybe too big. Hawk from the Road Warriors 46-Shame great promo man and all time tag team legend. Elizabeth 42-Never liked her but still a shock and great loss. Mr. Perfect, Curt Hening 44-Slightly overrated but still an excellent wrestler. British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith 39-Like Hercules just too big,his matches were brilliant when he was a lot thinner ie start of career and 95-97. Yokozuma 34-Way too big wasn't a shock. Uncle Elmer 54-As above Rick Rude 41-Too much steroids will cause the heart to enlarge but a great shock. Junk Yard Dog 45-killed in car accident not the best wrestler but hell of an entertainer. Big John Stud 46-Average wrestler of above average size. Dino Bravo 44-Shot dead but like Rick Rude i fear he wouldn't of lived past 50 due to his size. Adrian Adonis 34-Can't believe he was that young.Looked a helluva lot older. Great gimmick. Andre the Giant 46-Andre terrible wrestler, hard to understand, terrible personality. Not a shock would have went the way of Bruiser Brody in the end.
Left off the list was the biggest shock for me. Brian Pillman aged 35. Only time i have turned a ppv off was the night of Badd Blood 1997. Excellent light heavyweight wrestler unpredictable in all companies a tragic loss for wrestling as i feel when his in ring career was over he would have been one of the all time great colour commentators.

It's such a shame that all these wrestlers have passed on at such a young age. But when i suppose these sort of things can happen when you fame and fortune blind you. You think, i am famous, i am rich so i am allowed to break to law and take drugs etc. Also they all sacrificed their bodies every night wrestling, that would take an effect on someone's body. Wear & Tear, but still a terrible loss! R.I.P my friends and thank you for all the great wrestling matches that you have given us!

It's awful that the wrestlers die early. It's pathetic that people like the Big Boss Man die before drug addicts like Jake Roberts.

It was truly sickening to see Jake Roberts on Raw with the lifestyle he has led. Oh and the fact he is still wanted here in the UK for cruelty to animals.

You know the person that murdered Brody was never tried because of all the witnesses (mostly Americans) were afraid that they'd lose out on work in Puerto Rico or get hurt in the process of the trail so the murderer, Invader I, walked away scott free.

Really, I would of thought they didn't know which Wrestler did it, actually I thought it might of been like one on one in the lockeroom so nobody knew who killed Brody. So they actually knew who did it "Invader I" and couldn't get any witnesses, that's crazy. Do you know who any of the witnesses/wrestlers were? Actually do you even know why he killed Brody?

After that happened, a lot of wrestlers, Ric Flair included, I believe, actually refused to wrestle in Puerto Rico anymore. Back when the WWE had that PPV in Puerto Rico last year, I forget which one it was, I was actually kinda surprised. I'm sure it wasn't held in the same place or with the same promoter (Jose Gonzales aka Invader #1) or anything like that. It was horrible what happened to Bruiser Brody, but I guess it was time to move on.

Tony Atlas & Dutch Mantell were in the locker room when it happened. Dutch talked about it on his website, and I met Tony Atlas a few years ago. I had the first WWF calendar (1984) and I asked him to sign it. He did & then started flipping through it and stopped at the picture of the Invaders. He said "Thats the guy who killed Brody. I was there. Messed up situation." I didn't want to ask him about it any further just out of respect.

-- There's not much you can do about the ending of one's life, regardless if they're wrestlers, other entertainers, neighbors, co-workers, family members, ect.
I think it hits home harder (aside from friends & family) when a wrestler dies, because IMHO, ya look at these guys as almost "in-desctructable like", like there's nothing that could ever touch them, little known kill them. And when reality sets in, you realize these individuals are real people just like you & me.
In the biz, I guess ya just live fast/die young.
