I found this today online, this just shows that the old days are truly gone in todays wrestling (sports entertainment) world:
Michael Hayes and Pat Patterson met on January 2nd to book the Royal Rumble match. They came up with a list of 30 Superstars they wanted, an order of eliminations, and the high spots. Hayes then met with Vince the next day and Vince okayed most of their suggestions. They now have to go over it and get approval from the key talent in the match.

this is actually for this years Royal Rumble.
When I read this, I thought of the old time Royal Rumble. All surprising and no 'high spots'.
Look, I knew it was scripted, its WWE. DUH. But I didn't know it was 'this' scripted, especially for the Royal Rumble.

I'll save my PPV cash and watch the 1990 rumble which i've seen on tape about 5 times, it'll still probably be more surprising than whatever they've come up with

wow. I remember the outdoors, roman feel, wrestlemania as 'one' of the first I saw
(Cant remember what number it was, but Taker had a Vulture on that motorised 'little ring' taking him to ringside)

Yeah it was 9 because I remember Hogans win after Hart was blinded against Yokozuna.
