91 or 92. I'd say 92 purely because it was in the UK at wembley tho 91 did have that cracking bout between Bret and Mr Perfect.

Summerslam 88 was my favourite, i loved the main event and it planted the seeds for the whole classic Mega Powers Explode storyline. Can you believe the made that main event storyline last nearly 12 months from start to finish, you wouldn't get that today!

Really good question. I wouldn't say '91, because let's face it, other than Bret / Perfect, there wasn't much to write home about, from that fake wedding to the Iraqi storyline handicap main event. I would have to agree with the person that wrote '88 or '92, because they were both based on solid, well-built storylines. If you're arguing '91, then you might as well say '89, because Bret was also involved in another kick-ass match, Hart Foundation vs. Brainbusters.

Summerslam 88's main event was
The Meger-Bucks (Ted DiBiase & Andre The Giant) w/ Heenan & Virgil
VS
The Meger Powers (Hogan & Savage) w/ Miss Elizabeth
with Jesse "The Body" Ventura as the spechial Guest Reffery.
I'd have to say i'm torn between 88, 92 & Also 95 (even though the Diesel vs King Mable main event was appaling) i thought there were some good matches and the storylines behind them were again both well thought and played out.

My favourite Summerslam is 89. Start to finish it was an awesome event, there wasnt one bad match, for entertainment and the fans being right into it, I always enjoy watching this show. Some of the classic matches included Hart Foundation Vs Brainbusters, Ultimate Warrior Vs Ravishing Rick Rude and the main event Hogan and Brutus Beefcake Vs Randy Savage and Zeus. On paper you could say others had a better card, but it's all about what happens on the night. 1992 would be a close 2nd.
