17? Don't even know which one that was, lol. But I say the first one, that's what put Wrestlemania on the map. Hogan and Mr.T vs Roddy Piper and "Cowboy" Bob Orton, classic. Also I think Wrestlemania 4 which had a tournament for the Heavyweight Belt (which Randy Savage won) was a great one too.

now i know it had Benoit winning the title, but Wresltemania XX (20) was a thrill ride in my books.
You Had Cena defeat the Big Show for the US strap (First time it was defended at a WM ppv)
Molly Holly V victoria in a loser gets shaved match (to me I have never seen a chick / shave bald match).
Rvd/Booker retained the tag straps against Cade / Murdoch, the Duldleys and La Resistance in a fatal 4 way
Christian def. Chris Jericho (this involved the Trish turn-heel storyline)
orton/batista/flair def. Rock N Sock connection (the rock and Foley)
Torrie/Sable def. Miss Jackie/Keibler in a Playboy evening gown match (nothing special here)
Cruiserweight title open, which Chavo won
Goldberg V Lenser, with Stone Cold as Special Ref (which was, back then, a dream match)
Vince McMahon actually got a pop after this match and thanked the fans for the 20 yrs of WM
Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team, The Basham Brothers and The APA in a Fatal Four-Way match for the other Tag Straps
and now the 3 amazing moments of the night (back then):
The undertakers deadman gimmick return against Kane (build up over months, entrance was insane also).
Eddie retained the WWE title over Kurt Angle, which was an amazing match.
and Benoit won the HW title against HHH(c) and HBK.
And the best moment, confetti falling from the sky as Eddie and Benoit embrace and sign off WM XX.
Now that is a WM worth buying, not like this years. where its all fame and glamour. WMXX got u on ur edge of your seat, screaming at your TVs and jumping from your couches. thats my thoughts anyway.

i thought 20 was a bit of a let down for all of the hype that it got, there was only a couple of decent matches, the rest was very mediocore

I really liked alot of the wrestlemania matches but really have trouble picking one particular wrestlemania. But if I had to choose I guess Id go with WM III because though it wasnt their first match I liked the Hogan vs Andre match up even though the match was IMO subpar, also the Steamboat vs Savage match was great and possibly the best in any WM.
