I feel Owen would have still not have gotten that push he deserved with Vince because Vince always misused Owen IMO. Owen had more talent than most in the WWF and should have had some kind of world title run.

Not so sure about that although I could be mistaken I just hate we'll never know Owen was great and sadly missed.

He was great and will be sadly missed, but from everything I've heard or read, he was looking to retire around 2001 had he lived, so waiting like Benoit for the chance to wear the strap might have been a moot point. Can't believe it's been eight years since he died.

think owen would of got a big push before his retirement. think he would of joined tripple H and gone for the tag belts as well. then have owen and tripple h go face to face. winner would have won both tag belts and championship belt. then later on owen would of probably either come back as announcer/ manager in wwe or joined tna and helped jarret out

He's sadly missed and when he was around he was overshadowed by many of the more 'popular' superstars in the WWF which I don't think was right to be honest. He should have got a much bigger push and gone on for the title. If he was still with us now I think he would have held the title at least once before his retirement.

(In responce to the topic).I believe Vince has learned alot from what happened to Owen. Before they had just one wrestler hold the title for years. Now they trade it.(I remember the interview Owen gave not to long before he left us about wanting to be the first masked champion.)The match with his brother was most memorable. And I'm glad to see pictures of him his belts.(He was my favorate with his gymnastics and teamwork with coco beware ("High Energy" they were called.)

I would say he would've been known as "The Game" and got the push that Triple H would have all these years now.

I thought the cartoon super hero gimmick he was just starting before he died would of been a great success. They pretty much gave the same gimmick to Kurt Angle when he first came in, it was Owen that said about drinking milk etc first and Owen defo had the personality to make it work. Who knows, maybe he could of got as big as Angel was with it, could of had some classic bouts those 2 as well!

That stupid gimmick got him killed. Vince, and the rest of the pro wrestling world is smarter now nearly 9 years later to have employees under contract thinking they can fly. I don't call someone getting lowered down from the rafters of an arena entertaining. More like plain stupid. I still can't believe to this day he died over a stupid entrance failing. Nice to see they are smarter with entrances now days!

think the idea started with HBK sliding down to the ring at one show.

i believe Owen would have got the shot, but it would have been fouled up at some point because of the last Name and WWF... Hart and Mcmahon... kind of a messed up history when it comes to world championships...

Owen certainly deserved more than he was given in the WWF and I feel Vince was more of a Brett man and wanted him getting the push over Owen. But IMO Owen was just as good if not better than Brett and should have held the WWF title atleast once but sadly never got past the I/C title.
