According to John Laurinaitis, Vice President of Talent Relations for World Wrestling Entertainment, Mark Copani, a.k.a. Muhammad Hassan, and WWE have decided to go their separate ways.
Copani, who was last seen at The Great American Bash in late-July, had nothing but positive remarks about his WWE experience in recent phone interview.
“I have a great appreciation for WWE and the way they treated me,” said Copani. “Everybody took care of me even more than they ever had to. I have a great deal of gratitude for the McMahons, the people in the office and the boys in the locker room. I have absolutely no grievances in the way that everything played out. In fact, the split was very amicable. I just thought that it was in my best interest, as well as WWE’s best interest, for us to go our separate ways.”
With WWE now in his past, Copani is heading to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting. But does that mean WWE fans will never see the former Muhammad Hassan in a wrestling ring again?
“Wrestling is in my back pocket for now,” admitted Copani. “Luckily, the door was left open for a return if that is what I wish to do in the future. And if that’s something I wish to do, I know who to call.”

Well they haven't used him in about 2 or 3 months so it was simply a matter of time. Thought he would of got another character in another Wrestling League though. And now he thinks he's a Movie Star? Lol, yeah right. I hope nobody gives him work because of the character he portrayed in Wrestling. He sold out his own country (playing a Terrorist) for a Dollar (same as Vince).
I am really glad Muhammad Hassan is finally buried for good, thanks to the Undertaker, "Mr. USA". Vince would do another for a Dollar, glad the USA network wouldn't and understands the seriousness of Terriorism in our country.
Standings USA 1, Vince 0.

okkkkkkk someone is being ecenomical with the truth then.
Because the word from inside the WWE is Hassan was FIRED. Due to a bad attitued and his reffusal to go down to OVW and sharpan his wrestling skills for an eventual return to TV.
Also Davari is still employed and has debude in OVW as Shiek Davari and is very likely bareing major injury or set backs to be returned to TV when the oppatunity arrises.

I hope nobody gives him work because of the character he portrayed in Wrestling. He sold out his own country (playing a Terrorist) for a Dollar (same as Vince). If anything, Mark Copani should be hired on the spot because of his acting skills. He's an Italian who played a Arab-American, and got people to believe in that character. I respect him completely for how much effort he put into that character. And I thought people would've learned by now that, in the WWE, you check your values at the door. That pretty much makes every WWE Superstar a sell-out, in some degree, because I'm sure they've done stuff throughout the course o' their careers that make you say, "WTF?" And don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying the threat of and occurrence of terrorism in the United States is unimportant. I could never say that, because I know for a fact that it is. All I'm saying is that, sometimes people just need to accept entertainment as entertainment, even when it blurs with the lines of reality.

Actualy slightly in deffence of Hassan. (Not much mark you) while that last angle they did was deffinatly offencive (up untill the Masked Terrorists came out I think the Gimmick was ok)
There is a FAR, FAR, FAR,FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR More Offensive gimmick doing the rounds in the Independants at the mo.
Ladies and Gentlemen I give you
"The Iraqi Madman" T.K. Riot.
Hailing from Bagdad Iraq and managed by the infamous General Skandar Akbar, this Madman from Iraq is waging a one man war on American Wrestlers in the idies.
Totruing them with his version of the Cammal Cluthc aka The Ground Zero Clutch (One of many September 11th realted names for his moves with others including
. The Plane Crash Moonsault
. and The Air Riot.
as well as doing the old school Arab villain trick of the Fire Ball to the face.
Now compared to Hassan who only refferened 9/11's aftermath of mistrust of Arabs which is sadly the same over here now after 7/7.
That gimmick gose beyond what is acceptable in wrestling and I don't think it can be deffended as being entertanment IMO.

Problem is IMO far more Offensive gimmicks are done on the independant sceen and they get away with it because there not in the major public eye.
Were as when Vince makes some questionable choices, which he dose I'm not going to deffended him over his questionably gimmicks. He gets crucified.
