Hardcore legend and three-time WWE Champion Mick Foley says he's coming back to WWE television.
When reached Wednesday via cell phone between stops on his book tour, Foley confirmed that he has reached a deal in principle with WWE. He chose not to elaborate further, citing that he'd prefer to save the details until after the "formal arrangement" has been finalized.
"We have an agreement," Foley said. "The papers are just being drawn up. We should be good on it."
Foley first appeared in WWE in 1996. Thereafter, he furthered his reputation for putting his body on the line in many of WWE's most memorable matches.
Since retiring from the full-time roster in 2000, Foley has become a bestselling author. He is currently amid an extensive book tour for his latest novel, "Scooter."

Foley would be very good for Wrestling, would be good to see him back, they could use him in the WWE. He simply adds: action, comedy, and entertainment. He is one of the true ones that Wrestles for the love of the sport, not the money. Out of the newer Wrestlers I think John Cena does too, so I give him respect.

but i think he will entertain whatever part he plays That's the exact thought here Martyn, he will "entertain" and thus make the WWE more entertaining. I didn't know TNA and WWE were in a biding war or both wanted Mick.

They have been promasing a BIG Name Supersatr for there first broadcast on Spike TV.
But so far are not getting anywere with it.
Bret's shown to little intrest.
Mick's signed with WWE
Matt Hardy's back with WWE.
Hogan's said he's no longer intrested.
I don't know if they have talked to Sting or Randy Savage yet.

It would be nice if TNA added some major Star to help boost it's new Spike Broadcasting. Mick would of helped.
They were thinking about them Ricky Cool?
Randy Savage a second try? I say "Ohhh Yeahhh". How about another try with "Da Bad Guy" Scott Hall, he said he'd be good this time? I believe him. Or how about just shell out some money to Sting, Scott Steiner, or Goldberg? Well any of those 5 choices would be big boost.

Sept. 1 2005 -Mick Foley talked with Between the Ropes radio last night about his decision to resign with WWE. Christopher Murray of Between the Ropes sent PWTorch.com the following notes: During Mick Foley's interview, he revealed he was extremely close to joining TNA Wrestling before ultimately signing a new contract with WWE. A deal had been on the table for four months to join TNA in a figurehead role along with a couple of wrestling matches against top TNA stars. After speaking with Vince McMahon, he opted to sign a contract with WWE, although he did not get any more money from WWE (hence, not using TNA to get a better deal from WWE). Foley said he enjoyed the TNA product and knew many of the guys in the company. He hoped the Spike TV show would be a success to provide competition to WWE. His new contract with WWE will include some wrestling matches, although not many. In fact, he noted that in a forthcoming interview that will air on ESPN Cold Pizza (taped previously, but has not aired due to hurricane coverage), he was asked who he hoped to wrestle in the near future and replied with Samoa Joe.
