Earl Hebner was fired by WWE Monday after allegedly selling merchandise without authorization.
Dave Hebner has NOT been fired although he has apparently been disciplined for being a part of the act.
Hebner had refereed most main events on PPV for the past decade. More as we get it.

This Is Un-bloody-believeable! I am so shocked that they fired Earl Hebner. He has been in the WWE ever since the beginning and certainly one of the best if not THE best. I know he STILL gets alot of heat for the Montreal Screwjob but i don't blame him for it. He was just doing what he was told. You aren't gonna find a referee as good as him! I think firing him because who sold merchandise without authorization is a poor reason and over reacting!

So does that make Mike Chioda the new senior referee, cuz he's been with the WWE for over ten years now. Dude, that sucks so much, Earl was such a great referee. Even when he was sorta kinda in storylines, he was so great! I'm gonna miss him...

Yeah, he was a pretty cool and a good referee for sure. He was in some big main events and a few small storylines which was nice. I remember in one match when Hogan was wrestling there ended up being 2 Earl Hebner's and nobody knew which was the right one and made the right call, lol.
