Mr. Perfect, without a doubt. Ravishing Rick Rude is a close second.

I'd vote for Perfect. He should've gotten the title from Ultimate Warrior instead of Slaughter.

I think the original plan for 'Mania 7 was Hogan-Warrior 2 with Hogan regaining the title, but Vince couldn't hesitate but to exploit what was going on in the Persian Gulf and put the belt on the Iraqi sympathizer Slaughter. He figured it would draw all kinds of heat, which it did, and Hogan as the American hero winning it back from him would be the perfect scenario for a Wrestlemania main event.

Even though I posted DiBiase before, it would only be right to give a nod to Rick Rude. Despite his being considered too "skinny" to sit atop the wrestling world, his work was always outstanding. Pretty hard to pry the belt off Hogan or Savage, though, in those days. Hard to believe even Zeus couldn't do it.

There are actually several good choices here, but I would have to say Ted Dibiase was #1. Ted actually deserved to be NWA World champion, he was a guy who really had all the tools needed to be champ.
Rick Rude would also be a really good choice too.
