Earthquake Memory (RIP)

It was sad to hear Earthquake died recently, and at a young age too. He really was a decent heel for a little bit. This memory of him below was great, I almost forgot about it and really wasn't even sure at the same time if I saw it, wish I could see it now though, lol. If anybody else has any memories of Earthquake post them here.

Neil C, "I can remember Earthquake from the first time he challenged the Ultimate Warrior in the WWF,

Earthquake was sat in the stands with the audience, and strode to the ring looking like an absolute monster;

the challenge was that the Warrior would do some push-ups with people sat on his back. everything went fine until he attempted it with 400lb Earthquake.

the big man jumped full weight on Warrior and cracked his ribs!!

Watching Quake crush Hogan on the Brother love show always sticks out as a good memory

I have so many memories of Earthquake including the first time he showed up when he was sitting in the audience when Jimmy Hart got him to come in and challenge The Ultimate Warrior.

Also who can forget when he sat on Hulk Hogan on The Brother Love Show in 1990 that started the feud between him and Hogan in 1990. I also remember in early 1991 he and Jake "The Snake" Roberts feuded after Earthquake sat on Coolio!! I remember Jake opening the bag and acting all upset since Coolio was supposed to have been killed by Earthquake...lol.

Earthquake was really a fun character and to died at such a young age is really sad. RIP Quake!

I have 3 very vivide memroies of John "Earthquake" Tenta.


1. Hi match with Hogan at Summerslam resulting from his squahing Hogan on The Brother Love Show.


2. Squahing Jake Roberts python with his Eathquake Spalsh.


3. His squahs match at Wrestlmainia 10 against Adam Bomb.


I also remember his breif sint in The Human Oddites in the Attiteud era as Golag The Odditey obsessed with Cartman off of South Park.

Plus his less then stella gimmicks in WCW (Avalanch and The Shark Attack/ Shark) which lead to his shoot promo (I think it was shoot might have been a worked shoot)

Quake you've left a lot of memories for us wrestling fans, may the gods bless you. R.I.P Quake.

I was there in Vegas that night when a large sandbag was put under the ring and that's what Jake grabbed...not the snake....if memory serves correct, wasn't his python "Coolio"?

I remember that vividly and also I remember the nite when Natural Disasters came to Vegas and successfully defended the tag straps against the Beverly Brothers. Watching Quake and Typhoon trying to suck in their guts to get the belts put around their waist was hilarious.


RIP John...........you have more than earned your rest.
