The Wrestlemania 5 match between Randy Savage (HW Belt) vs Hulk Hogan really made me upset, seriously, lol. I just got done watching it again. Macho had Hogan beat all around, the bloody eye, working on Hogan's neck, some strong moves (double axe handle off the top ropes, backdrop, and nice body slam on Hogan which most wrestlers don't pull off), then the big elbow drop. Then Hogan kick's out of it? And not only kicks out of it, but punches Macho twice, big boot, leg drop, and pins Macho, that's it? Macho couldn't kick out of that little bit of offense from Hogan? It seemed really fake or unreal to me, kinda beat. That could and should of been a big win for Macho and lead him into being the Champion for another year and dominating. Not right at all to me, lol. What did everybody else think? I just watched it again and that's why it was on my mind, lol.

I agree I watched that match as well and Savage did control the bulk of the match. And I was really surprised at the events in the end as well but that was the era of Hulkamania and Vince was riding the wave of Hogans fans.

Yeah Scotty, he controlled all of the match and really was destroying Hogan like nobody has, and in all different ways. But Hogan won the last 20 seconds of the match and won it, somehow. I think it was fixed. Well Scotty it was still Macho Madness's time and he had the belt for a year, Hulkamania was before that and pretty much done, I thought, but then came back again, because he won the match. What would the Wrestling World have been like if Macho won that match and remained Champion for several more years? Pretty interesting I'd say.

Yeah would have been pretty nice to see Savage have more of a title run than he did have. But I guess Hogan caught on with the fans and Vince took that and ran with it. But it was frustrating to see alot of Hogans matches end in a last second burst of energy and a comeback win in a matter of seconds.

Yes, exactly what I've been saying for years. The ending to WrestleMania V was bogus, even with suspended disbelief. This set the wave for the year of Zeus, The Red Rooster, the end of Mr. Perfect's winning streak, the end of the Blue Blazer, the dissolution of the Powers of Pain and The Brain Busters, everything I disliked about this year. Savage should have continued as champ, or, as I said in another strand, they should have experimented with other champions. Damn!

Lol, wow 80s4Life, didn't know you felt the same way, glad you agreed. Didn't know all that happened the same year either, what a bad year indeed then, lol. Yeah, they should of had another Champ, even if it was a short run to break things up. But really the Macho Man for another year or longer as Champ would of been great. P.S. Mr. Perfect was great!!!
How true Scotty, I mean, not against a real Superstar that is winning the whole match, then you turn around and beat him like nothing happened? Come on now. Maybe to a jobber, but not to somebody like Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, Randy Savage, Paul Orndorff, etc.

Yeah thats the Hulkamania wave that was the WWF was on and no matter how sad it made a top star look they seemed to do it to them. Alot of great champs were passed over in the 80s and I hate that we never saw good reigns by Andre, Orndorff, Piper, Savage, Bundy (who by the way kicked Hogans butt at WM 2), Studd, and others because the WWF was on Hogans coat tails.

Your right Scotty, they really could of laid off of Hogan a little bit and gave some of those Wrestlers you named a chance and the Belt for a little bit. I am happy Randy Savage at least had the Heavyweight Belt for a year and the IC Belt for some time though.
